There is a chance that this individual was not being a griefer, it could have been that your SF chat was blocking his gag choices. When people talk too much in any boss battle, the chat boxes sometimes cover the boxes that show what gags are being picked, making it difficult to pick a gag that accomodates the group. From what he was telling you I am very sure he was not griefing just to be a griefer.

I don't think he was being a griefer either... I think he was being annoyed by the sf chat and so got mad and began to stink you. Honestly, though, I wouldnt have cared if he got mad because of me sf chatting, I can sf chat all I want. However, if he was an uber [which he seems to be from his gags] I would think there was another reason your sf chat was bothering him, which could be what dogfather said.

I know it is up to the individual, free choice and all, but I find excessive SF chat to be totally rude. Most of the people that are SF chatting never even once acknowledge the other member(s) of their TEAM, yes, TEAM. If people want to play it alone with SF's more power to them! But if you are with other toon(s), and by your own choice, at least BE part of the team. Otherwise there's not much fun in it. I'm not saying you shouldn't SF chat in publice, but can't you make the other people feel as if you even realize they are there? Ignoring others is so rude......

I have had moments in a boss fights when I have not been able to see the choices due to excessive talk. You do know this goes against CCG rules???
And your attitude is not very fair or nice to your other team mates. If you want to s/f talk "all you want", then please, go with randoms. CCG caters to many kinds of toons. Some have special needs and some are new. They need to see what everyone else is doing.
Remember to be kind....You wouldn't like someone doing it to you

Unless that was directed to me I'm pretty sure the OP didn't say I'll sf chat all I want and he also didn't say if he was in ccg or not. Now if that was directed to me for saying I'll sf chat all I want then um... I don't even go with the ccg... so what are you talking about? Plus, since when is it rude or not fair to talk to your friends? I understand if someones mad because your blocking their gags but theres no way of really telling someone whether it is or not, so yes, I'll sf chat all I want like the other 23829 toons who do.

i agree with all your posts, only problem is, wen he started stinkin me i was not even on the elevator yet, i was outside the sbhq towers, and we both ended up getting on the same elevator and i didnt even take in to consideration that he was there, i just thought the group was ok and went. and it wasnt excessive chat because i dont talk to sfs much if were on opposite sides(which me and my sf were on both reg cog battle AND skele battle) so wen i did talk to my sf, the toon started stinkin me again. the only time he was on my side was the skelecog battle and i didnt sf talk there much either so it couldnt have been in the way of his gag choices. and i do be part of the team, i talk to the others. but i talk about as much as i sf in battles: not alot, but i do realize the others are there, and work as a team. the toon had no reason to stink me because of sf chat because that time i was on, i didnt sf continuously. i would talk for a minute or two and then stop. i do take in to consideration everything everyone has said. and i never thought about that either, but in this case it wasnt because of the reasons you all have stated. i believe he was a griefer because he started stinking me outside the sbhq towers. were it is in no harm to sf wit someone even excessively. and he was nice wen he mentioned it the 1st time, he said "i cant understan you" but i though well its just someone tryin to be nice and doesnt like sf chatting so i did stop till i got in to the elevator place. then i sfed again and he started stinkin me. so it wasnt because it was in the way of gag choice, or because he was annoyed by excessive sf chat.

and i was not with the ccg either

not a fan of meow meow meowing, but...

I have to admit that the SF/TF chat can be annoying, but stinking someone over it seems pretty rude, too. No reason for that toon in sellbot HQ to react so harshly based on what I read.

I think there are two sides. It does take away from the team when two toons chat all through a battle. I was always taught it was rude to talk in front of others when they could tell you were talking, but they were excluded from the conversation, either by a different language or otherwise.

That's where I'd stand in general. I supposed there's not much you can do about it if you want to have the SF/TF feature. But why does the chat have to be visible and audible? Do I need to know you're talking to someone else who may not even be with us? I wish there was a switch to turn off the SF/TF chat text box/sound.

I've had toons chatting who also made sure they kept "involved" with the other toons, throwing out a "nice shot" or a "thanks" or a taunt to the cogs every once in a while. I really appreciate that: those toons are obviously not trying to be rude.

But it's definitely not for me. Do it if you want, but just try to keep in mind it CAN be both annoying and rude to others. A little moderation and understanding on both sides would be nice.

again, i was staying involved. i talk just as much as i normally talk in a cog battle. if sound misses, i say "youve got to be kidding..." if a toon toons me up, i say "Thanks!" etc., etc.
