Sorry, but sometimes you have to do that. If there are only a couple of high laff toons and one side went sad, there's a very good chance the smaller toons will get stuck on a side alone during the skele round. I would rather Tp back to the playground and try again than to send you there staring at your toes.

I have had it happen a couple of times but it is usually by mutual consent. For instance the other side is decimated by the first group and there are only four of you left. It is not conducive to success and you are better off reloading and trying again than bucking the tigers odds and doing the walk of shame. This has only happened though on Non-CCG runs. With the CCG we have usually held our own and gone on to dance.

I think you have to realize that sometimes running is the best option. I've gone sad repeatedly in the VP fight because I stuck around after the first round to try the skelecogs when I KNEW we were in trouble. Usually, the lower-laff toons want to try it, and then they start dropping like flies, especially if they all end up on one side, or if there are only one or two "strong" toons. Maybe the CCG has some secrets of staying alive that I don't know, but I need a decent mix of toons to win that battle. I feel bad leaving when others want to stay, but I have gotten tired of losing my level 7 gags during these fights. I feel like a sucker for staying. There's a lot I don't know, but I know what it takes to win a fight with cogs (THANK YOU, toontowncentral.com!). I can do the math, and I know a lot of the strategies that work, and the ones that don't. When you're a 50-something toon, and a 100+ toon tells you to run, I think you ought to listen. That's what I did (of course, if you've already got a high-laff toon, and you're running a new, lower-laff toon, that's different). Having said that, I DO think that sometimes toons are too eager to run. There have been times when people started leaving, and I thought we had a good chance. We also shuffle on the gosh-darn elevator WAY too much. The last VP fight I did over the weekend, I was the biggest "suit" on board - normally, not a good sign. I thought, "what the heck, I don't have any level 7 gags left, what have I got to lose?" So I got on and stayed on. No "big suits," but we had a couple 90+ laffers, a couple 100+ laffers (including me), and an assortment of 45-80 laffers. And we won. Easily. With 3-4 CC's, a telemarketer or two, a glad hander, maybe a mover and shaker, and me, the mingler. To the two Mr. Hollywoods who wouldn't board with us, "Ha Ha!" Who knew? ;-) One final thought: I've come to the conclusion that the time of day is important. My last, winning fight was close to 11PM, after all the weekend warriors and kids went to bed, I guess. Or maybe it was just coincidence. |

Just another thought:
if the rest were sfs or the majority was it could be they were sos shopping i know most will do this in a different district than river but if they have no way to get back in river they will run it in river as with bossbot being out now its not uncommon to go vp in river and be standing and waiting for enough toons to show up so it is easier to get a large group of sfs on the elevator again its just a thought |

Even with the CCG, there can be problems. I've had to leave a battle because the other side went sad and the toons that were with me (another 100+ laffer, an uber and a small toon) decided we should leave. It was very possible, the 2 small toons would end up alone on one side. Sometimes it is better to leave, even on CCG runs. Going back to the PG happens a lot when TT is really busy, like during school vacations. So many disconnects, there's hardly anyone left. ![]() |

![]() The only problem is that most people don't seem to know the strategy. So, I lure the left cog, and instead of killing the right cog, they all go after the one I lured. I don't blame them: they're just trying to "all go after the same cog." I need to buy "you take right" as a speedchat phrase. Thanks! |

This happened to my 15 laff last night. i was with a 127 and to other 100's, and my 15 laff friend was on the other side with a 109 and a 113 and a 64. Well the 127 Stunk me the whole time and said its to risky for me even though im a Telemarkter and she left when we won, the the 109 left and the others were gonna stya but then when we were bout to enter the next round the 113 left so i had to hurry and leave. Which left the 100's that were on my side and the 64 lleft to fight him.
