Angry SBHQ Griefers!!!

Ok, so i went in a fac on my 44 laffer and a 55 laffer and 2 other high toons and i was trying to get my sell suit. but the high laffers would NOT wait for us in ANY of the battles then they somehow skipped to the foreman and defeated him AND I DID NOT GET ANY PARTS!!!! If you two evil toons are reading this, STOP DOING THAT!!! I made it VERY CLEAR 'I need more Sellbot Suit parts.'

It really makes me mad when people dont want to help the low laffers. I think you need to rember when you first started playing and needed the help of people higher up then you were. I rember being so excited and feeling special that a high laff toon would help me or every now and then,be my friend ( if only for a day). Rember in life and on TT the right thing to do is "pay it forward"

I won't excuse bad behavior for bad behavior's sake. That being said, please consider the following.

You board with two toons who are 110+. They both say "I need more merits". You have a choice - stay on the elevator, or get off. They don't need you to get through the factory- you need them to make it through to get suit parts. So you stay on. Now they could go to the side, but hey, they don't mind dragging a toon through the front, as long as that toon remembers that the 110s objective is likely quite different than their own.

Then, when they promptly throw up two eles on the first set of cogs, (and you don't have sound yet), you start complaining..."lets use throw"...or "No"....well, again, they don't need you, you need them.

Now if they are nice, they can use two bike horns, and then when they get to a group with a 5 in it, you can pie that 5. However, if they aren't carrying bike horns, or if they are trying to re-up their level 7 sound, they will want to use only eles. Again, they don't need you to get through the factory, you need them. So you complain again.

Lets say they both need 5,500 merits. Thats 7 factories with invasions. That's four plus hours of work.

You have been complaining the whole time through. So you get to the warehouse and an invasion starts. Do you honestly think its likely they will wait on you? Their fear at that point is that the invasion will end, and you will run into the final battle, not waiting for that invasion. You want a suit part, they don't want to run yet another factory. Your objective will be fulfilled regardless of how you finish the run (in invasion or out). Their objective will only be fufilled if they get the invasion. Once you are a 100 laffer and have bailed out many 40 laff toons who wouldn't wait in that final battle, and missed the invasion as a result, you may just decide that you should simply go ahead and let the 40 laffer try to keep up.

If they can keep up, fine. If they can't, sorry - you knew when you got on the elevator what the two 110 laffers objective was. They knew what your objective was. Should they simply bow to your objective? Why?

Again, I am not excusing obvious griefer behavior. Being mean for the sake of being mean (e.g., tricking you into going sad) is awful. I've had mid-to-high laff toons try to grief my 26 laff uber into going sad after I sounded through the entire factory with them (HW19 - they weren't expecting my barnicle bessie on the final cogs when they whipped out thier baby sound, huh?! Hee hee)

But please remember, your objectives are different than theirs. They don't need you to succeed - but most of us who have high laff toons are quite willing to bring you along (my friend and I don't even check your laffs when we get on - we assume we can keep anyone from going sad, regardless of laffs - even the 16 laffers). But we do expect you to not be constantly insisting we select the gags you want, or go the way you want. We may not even wait for you to regag up at the paint mixer or the sound regag room. But since you don't need to be in every battle to achieve your actual objective - this shouldn't be a big deal either.

Sorry to ramble so much. Its just that my friend and I were on a factory run today - and the 60+ laff toon insisted on going the short way, even though we made it clear as we got in the elevator that we needed more merits. Then we told them "this way" when we started the long way - they said "no". So they proceeded to clear out the warehouse cogs while we were working through the long way, and then the first East Silo cogs without us - all the time saying "hurry", "I need more laffs". I asked them 8 times "please wait", "I need more merits" "Please wait". So then, when we are waiting for the invasion, they decided to go on into the final battle with something like 25 laffs...even after I asked them to "Wait" "Please" ....well, we did run in after her, but it was too late - she had already pulled a sound gag...so all 4 cogs hit her and she was back to the pg, all the while "stinking" us.

So let me get this right - she wouldn't go the way we made clear that we were going to go. She took out about 80 merits worth of cogs without us. She harrassed us during the run. And then she tried to blow out the final cogs to keep us from getting merits - and she thinks her going sad is OUR fault?

I don't think so.

I just thought it might help to hear it from the other side of the coin.

(by the way - the side glitch to go up the wall and avoid having to kill all the goons in the warehouse is to run at the wall and hit F9 at the same time. It should't be used to cheat other toons - only to speed up the process so that you don't have to waste time killing the goons - you finish off the 4 cogs, then jump over the side, run to the wall and hit f9...)

Thanks,
Craig

Ha ha, I was with this guy earlier this morning. I bowed to his whim, however, and did the short run, used throw (even though my friend and I would have LOVED to continue our plan to sound all the way through).

2200 to go.

I've been avoiding busy districts even though I want the invasions. With 5500 merits it's really hard to move slowly.

I'd say I take a little (60-75) toon about 1/4 of the time. The rest of the time I change districts to avoid conflict.

The high-laffers probably used the F9 glitch in the Warehouse. If they went the long way, they can glitch through the wall there, completely bypass doing the Warehouse this way, and head to the Silos. By the time a 44 and 55 laffer finish the Warehouse, hit the switches to open the door and stomp all of the goons, and make their way up the elevator, the two high-level toons can sound off both Silos and the Control Room.

On the other side of the coin, if the high-laff toons have made it clear that they don't want to go into the Factory with low-laff toons, and the low-laff toons kept boarding the elevator to go with them anyway, then the low-laff toons don't have any complaint with whatever happens, in my opinion. Yes, the low-laff toons have the right to get on the elevator anyway, but the high-laff toons aren't obligated to do a thing for the low laff toons (in my opinion, your view may vary) if they've made it clear that they don't want them along.
They didnt say ANYTHING AT ALL that they needed more merits (PS. when they all use sound i just say Sorry i cant I havent found it yet and just use something different)
