Oooh, I'm having the same problem as you. I have lots of screenshots but lately whenever I take any, they're not there in my folder with the rest of them. I thought maybe I had too many or something so I deleted some but still had no joy. My laptop is not an apple.

I know this sounds a little obvious, but try pressing your 'F Lock' key -you may have knocked it by accident and that will disable all your 'F' keys

I don't believe I have an 'F Lock' key, but if I do, it's very well hidden.

I stared at my keyboard for 5 minutes and couldn't find one either.

Ah of course, you DID say you were using a notebook, sorry. In that case, hold down Fn key, then at same time F12 key, then at same time Num.Lock key - in that order - that apparently toggles the F-lock - hope that works .

Had to googly this - let me know if it works.

Thank you for your help Poodleberry, you're very kind. I haven't actually tried that yet because I now know my F keys are on because I used F8 to open my book last night. I took a couple of screenshots too but when I looked just now, they still weren't there with the rest of them. I know the picture was taken because the screen froze for just a split second like it always does, I just don't know where on earth they're going. I really can't understand it, maybe my photography skills are so bad that my laptop just refuses to save them.

I FOUND THEM! For some reason they've been put in a different folder to all my other ones. Yay!
