The new tracks count in their respective categories. Blizzard counts as urban, Airborne counts as rural, and Corkscrew counts as speedway.
I've had races where a racer alt F4d out during the race. I think it does count as a win, but as for the tickets I'm not sure, I can't remember how that turned out. There's been a race where it was just two of us and the other alt F4'd out, so it was just me. I kept on racing, and in that case, I got my tickets as if I'd beaten him, and there were two slots on the tally screen. (I think he alt F4'd because I was on my other toon with the orange and black roadster. I'd gotten there as the timer neared 0 so he couldn't jump out before the race started. I hate the stigma that black seems to have.) Racing with friends and trading off wins would be your best bet for consistency. Otherwise you're taking your chances with random toons who love to drop anvils on you just as you get to the finish line. ![]() As for two accounts, I don't see why not if you can get both logged on at once. One stays at the starting line and you race the other, the game wouldn't know the difference. Now that there is an idle timeout the other would get booted off the track eventually, but long after you've gotten the other through. Regarding the Grand Prix, I think it's supposed to be every Monday, like Bingo Wednesday, but I haven't raced in one yet. |

thanks SO much for answering that!
I have had a terrible time with the Speedway. Just when I think it isn't fair to us old folks without the good reflexes of the kids I think---well in the rest of the game adults probably have the advantage so it evens things out. But I don't care for speedway because at least I cant race and chat ( speed or otherwise ) and I have to totally focus on it ( can't multitask phone etc) and mostly I like the cooperation of toontown more than the competition in Speedway. When you trade off wins, or like this morning when I let my sons toon time out as you suggested, it just SO BORING. I wish they had not connected the speedway to the laff at all-- but probably just because I am awful at it.

I have a suggestion
I have a suggestion for you since you just want to get racing done, Why dont you do like say 15 urban races a day and have someone let you win that way within a week you'll have every last trophy that is the strategy me and my friend are going to use to help him finish i think that that is a very good one unless you want your lp NOW! lol
Have fun with it ~Bugs Rabbit |

When I was racing one toon and they disconnected and I was by myself, it became a practice race. At the end it just gave me the twenty tickets and I don't think it counted as a win. If one toon disconnected and there were other toons in the race, it would still continue as a race though.

As far as Grand Prix tournament racing is concerned, I am pretty sure it counts for the trophies in the last row, when your opponent is deliberately leaving the game thru Alt+F4. We tested it, because I was wondering myself if it still counts when someone else is leaving, deliberately or accidentally.
You have to finish the tracks alone, yes. But this is still better than racing hundreds of tracks and never get the sweeping trophies, for which you need to win all three tracks. I don't know about normal Toon Battle races if it still works like that, but I'd assume so. Ticketwise its a little hard, because the one who is exiting is losing the 500 or 1000 tickets he or she spent to start the race. So better use the 500 ticket tournaments for this. Doing 5 races on tournament like this (with 3 tracks each) will give you 6 trophies already. Tournament racing only counts for trophies of the last row, though. cu, Fräulein Trixie °¿° |

I'm TOTALLY With You and I'll HELP YOU ANYTIME!!
Tinker Cat, I HEAR YOU darlin! TRUST ME, I detest racing and I STINK at it and Leenie Hunny Bunny whomI adore laughs at me and hollars .............
Cheater Cheater Pumpkin Eater to me BUT I DO NOT CARE as I TOTALLY completely agree with you and feel EXACTLY as you do. Here is the deal- My test toons, thanks to the work of Eileen and Jon when GSW came out on Test as well as my nephews and Spike- have grat cars and had 10,000 Tickets so I would enter both Toons and loose 500 simply to get the trophys I needed for 2nd Laff on Recognition and Mistake on Test. On open, my Toons did not know how to get to GSW it would say lol until 2 weeks ago so I didn't have the option to dowhat I did on test. Yesterday, I raced two of my own Toons initially and TRUST ME, if you think racing one is hard, two was miserable and most times I managed to qualify both sometimes one failed as I am not the most coordinated doing this. I gave up on that when one lost 1000 as she barely had 500 then as entry fee. My 7 year old nephew entered with the financially debiltated Toon and immediately alt f4'd and I told him he would lose his "money" lol however he did this for me 5 times so I could get 5 sweeps and EVERY RaCE COUNTED so I got 117 on Aunt and he never once lost his "money". It was excuriatingly BORING as you said as well as hard on my computers video cards lol I'm sure but I did the required minimum TASK to earn my Laff boost as I like you wanted the points I don't condone "cheating" in any manner, shape or form EVER and I do race with Tooniest Mommie and Lady CJ Purpletoon and take turns winning and even andrew and Rug on test mysteriously had vapor lock a few times and allowed me to win- so I have put in alot of time going back and forth dong that as well as the time Monday and have along way to go to do this on 13 TOONS -Yikes so I am eternally greatful this option is available for those of us who play this game hard but simply do not enjoy the racing part which I know the kids LOVE!!! AND Bugs Rabbit, whom I offered to wire $50 bux to lol - YOU ROCK honey for offering to help my Toons once you get yours and your girlfriends done honey- truly I THANK YOU and will take you up on it still as I have ALOT of Toons in need of racing lol- on the upside Tinker- every one of my Open Toons- Aunt, aunt, Princess Kymi, Charismatic, Hurricane fan, Miami Cane, and both black cats EACH and EVERY Toon put in the time this weekend to get their entry fees and all except 2 I think got Laff boost. The time investment on this many Toons for racing is astronomical even done with the help of a second account and I don't feel the least bit guilty and that's my right people as is Tinkers so please let's not get started on negative opinions here- just accept some adults think racing stinks and be thankful there is an alternative albeit slight available to help us as I can assure you TInker and myself are team players and will help anyone anywhere anytime and as long time players-just give me a break with this racing nonsense lol SO FACTS HERE -back to the thread- absolutely I got credit each time- when Tooniest Mommie is booted, I still get credit for a sweep and it sounts towrds laff- that said- My toons don't have 10 wins on a track and I am almost positive I swept 10 on Princess and she doesn't have 10 speedway wins still so I am not sure the grand pree actually counts towards the 10 and 100 speedway rural and urban wins and qualifies. I'll race a new toon of Hunters on practice to get 500 and enter it Monday I think to see if he gets credit as i was wondering if Grand Pree does or doesnt count towards the 100 as well- specifically I wondered - I may know tonite after i race one or two on urban on Aunt- if she gets 10 wins then they do as I haven't raced at all except one race on there however during grand pree i did several so if I do a few more and it pops up with 10 wins Ill know GP counted-does that make sense lol??? PM me- I'll meet you at the tracks when your available and help you knock this out!! |
