They're still applying updates for the speedway on test.
There has been a change, they used to test things until they worked well, now they seem to slap it on open when it's just barely running.

From my observations while racing, the Anvil will hit anyone in 1st place. There is an exception to that rule, and that is if they aren't already being hit by an anvil. If that is the case, then the person behind them will be hit, and so forth and so on. Also, if you are in the lead and drop the anvil, it will do nothing, unless you've just been hit by an anvil, and you drop it at that time, it will hit the person behind you. This is a good tactic for making it harder for the person behind you to pass you in the case where you are getting anviled.

I've had the anvil miss a number of times. There will be a toon ahead of me, I "drop" the anvil and nothing happens - it just goes away. This has happened with me in 2nd place and in 3rd place.

The anvil takes a while to fall, so don't wait until the last second to drop an anvil at the very end, it won't reach the winner. Also I thought if you were in first you'd hit the guy in 2nd, or if you're being hit, and the second guy is being hit, you'd hit the 3rd, etc. And they will miss if you're racing against another toon and you're last.

I've raced A LOT in test and open and I've NEVER seen a valid anvil drop miss.
If you are in first your anvil just goes away. If you drop too late in the race (before the leader crosses the finish line but they are too close for the anvil to finish its drop) it'll just go away. It sounds more like your update/display isn't working and that I'd buy. There are any number of races where I watch people finish behind me on the screen only to end up in second or third in the standings. Perhaps you see yourself in second or third but you're actually in first.

I know how anvils are supposed to work, and the vast majority of the time they work correctly. But I've experienced (rarely) the same thing a couple others have mentioned in this thread. I drop an anvil and it simply fails to drop anywhere.
Just last evening I was racing against one other toon. I was in the lead, and I was carrying an anvil. Somewhere in the second lap (so it had nothing to do with being near the finish line) I got anviled. While flat, I dropped my anvil. By rights, this should have hit the guy who was right on my tail, but he zoomed past me unharmed. The anvil never dropped. Other times I've been in second or third and dropped my anvil. It should have hit the guy in front, but nothing happened. In the hundreds of races I've driven, this sort of thing has only happened a handful of times. The vast majority of the time the anvils drop correctly. I've been in situations identical to what I described above many times, and the anvils usually work just as expected. But now and then they do simply fail to materialize. |

i can cheat..lol but not really LOL...im not very good at it so i dont cheat any more... last time i TRYED to cheat i became last place...(on the practice) i will never try to cheat in the wacha mackalit the reel race....

You must be next to someone are you fighting for 1st meaning you change from 1st to 2nd every second and you drop the anvil when your in first. It isnt a bug

I have played on OPEN and TEST. This bug is definately there. I have had an anvil and been in first place, waited for somebody to pass me, waited a few seconds before hitting the button and.... VOILA! NOTHING!!!

What's cheating look like?
I played on the test site, now have a black roadster on general site and suddenly not only are anvils not working...or else are very delayed...but sometimes a toon (or two) shows as winner when clearly I crossed the finish well in advance of that toon(s). I've even come in third when I KNOW I crossed the line first. I don't want to know HOW to cheat, just want to know if you can detect if someone cheated. Today a toons car kept blinking on and off and with each blink he would again be ahead of me.
