Grr!

I can't understand what I'm doing wrong! (Please note that I am NOT accusing anyone of anything.) I'm just confused as to what the trick is. I was excited about City Circuit and I think it's a blast. The leader boards were still pretty blank so I played a few laps. I won my first race (yay) with a time of 5:40, not setting any records. I played for a while longer and I started seeing short times, 5:26 and similar, so I gave it a go by myself. On my second try alone, I hit every speed boost and got 3 speed boosts in presents and because I was alone, I took no anvil hits and I made a point to drop any peels way out of my way. This was my best time at 5:25, I still didn't hit any records. I'm not the best racer and that's fine, I usually lose but when I saw times on the board of under five minutes? What on earth am I doing wrong? Every race that I ran with other people, I usually came in last but we mostly stuck pretty close together. I don't understand how people can race that good! Grrr!

K, done with my rant and I think this is a really neat track. I didn't even crash or find any glitches anywhere, so that's good. I even managed to figure out how to grab the presents in the air after that big jump. I don't care that I don't win and that I don't set records, I just want to know what I'm doing wrong. lol

I have an Old PC & a new PC. The Old PC was impossible to race with...after update 49 the old PC raced better but still isn't as good as the new PC. I still think the PC speed (and connection) matters.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I could not have expressed my "rant" any better. The new track is great and I did exactly the same as you...but someone always seems to be better on the boards. I have finally started winning the short track and ONCE I finally got my name on the board (for about 2 seconds ). On occasion I am finding people who must have a computer compatable to mine and I actually keep up but I think some better/newer computers just have the edge on my 4 year old "dinosaur". LOL
Bottome line, I think we have the racing down to a tee...it's technology holding us back *shrugs*.
