Asking to use someone else's test account
Anyone caught asking a test toon to use their test account just to test out GSW will result in receiving a warning from us mods/admin, and/or possibe suspension from this site. It is against our policies and TT's policies to give out personal information of any kind.
"Personal Information" - This site has children present therefore asking for or volunteering personal information is not allowed. Personal Info consists of Real Life Names, Age, Gender, Location, Email Address exchanges, Instant messenger ID's, Password/Account Information, School Information and other similar details. This also applies to posting personal pictures of the users, their schools, homes (that include their exact locations), etc. This includes posting this information through Private Messages. We here at Toontowncentral.com strive to keep the environment as safe as possible for our users. For more information on Internet Safety for children please visit some these sites:WiredKids.org, WDIG'S Internet Safety Tips. If any tester toons are being harassed by another user: ie. account information is being asked for, please report this user to a mod. There is a report a post button on every post or please forward any PMs to a mod/admin and we will deal with the situation. Yes, I agree. Infact I had a few former "friends" on open. One day I went on toontown because test was down and About 15 different people said "Do you have test?" I said yes thinking they were just asking and then they were begging me to give them my test. YEA RIGHT first they make a toon on your account, then they are mean to your friends, and before you know it they change the password. People shouldn't give out personal info on test. It's for reporting bugs and for toontown fixing it. Besides I don't like spoiling the suprise anyways lol.

finnaly! ive never really understood y ppl r so anxious but i guess cause some wait for test accounts for a year...and it took 5 mins for me XD but yea sometimes ppl will ask me to get them a test account cause it didnt take me that long n im like wha?! how!

Playing Toontown on the test server may not be suited for everyone. Due to the nature of this testing, the server may be unavailable for extended periods of time and we will be changing or deleting Toons to support the testing. We will be experimenting with chat features and game play features that are not fully mature, might crash, or otherwise hinder your experience. Deleting toons o.o;; Ok... Does that have any explination about they deleting my test account?

One of my real life friends kept asking me to use my open account for, like, and hour. I kept saying NO!. He kept asking. This morning, he called and asked to use my TEST account. I told him the reason. I have shared an account with a friend who now has his own, and has for about 1 1/2 years. The problem was, that whenever one of us was going to get on, we had to call the other to make sure s/he wasn't on. That is a good reason not to share(unless it's within your family, of course). Cuz if you can't contact the other when your getting on, then, the results could be catashrophic!

I know this might be a stupid question but what is the person they are asking is willing too? A while ago my account was cancelled and my friend let me put my main toon on his Open account and now I play both of them, and we are both fine with it. He plays my toon, but I don't play his.

-------------------------------------------------- Sounds like you've made a good arangement with a trust worthy friend. The problem when doing anything like this, is that you run the risk that the other person may do something to your toon that you don't want, change passwords to the account, or even be very rude to your SFs, and the list goes on. We can't condone or promote such actions. TT frowns upon this course of actions as well. If your both happy with this arrangement, I'd say just don't get caught, but then you've just publicly announced it to everyone on the forum..lol. |
