All for show. Some of them might have a slight affect simply due to speed of drawing them by your graphics card in your PC. Not sure which would be faster though. Roadster might actually be slower to draw because the wheels spin and are visible.

idk it mite help ya i bit. wen i got the space fin or wutever i noticed that my drift increased like over 100 percent i couldnt even turn but then wen i took it off i was able to race again. oh and wen i got my big rims or wutever (the 1000 ones) my traction increased and i could turn better.. idk maybe its just me imagining things but it seems to make a difference

As far as anyone can tell at this point, all customizations are for looks only. None of them will actually improve your kart's preformance.
