I had it happen where the other person starts before everyone else, it has happened to me in fact and I could tell because I was racing my husband. It is a matter of the speed/lag of computers. But I've also seen where I start out early and leading whole way, even cross line first but the time was actually longer then 2nd place so I got second place.

Also though if the other toon is in 1st you can get anvil to drop on them.

I was on w/ my friend & he's trying to max GSW. We went to GSW & found a group to race with. Low & behold, even before the #'s appear this red duck zooms off... obviously cheating. She ended up getting 1700 tickets. It sickens me, really.

I just raced a cheater as well. I took a pic of the final times and sent it to Disney. About 30 minutes later I got an e-mail saying they suspend anyone cheating.

It is good to hear that they suspend people, but I hope they terminate repeat offenders.

May I comment that another way to report cheaters is by taking screenshots of the scoreboard with their impossible time.

Everyone's talking about how people are cheating..but how are they doing it?? Are they like getting in the gray? Cause I bumped into a wall once and I lagged or something then I got in the gray and I was wondering if that was how people cheated?? so what are they doing?

They either run external programs or change their configuration files to allow them to move extremely fast through the game. Not lag or a glitch but a full out game hack.
