Does anybody race for real anymore?

When I first started TT I could always hop to the busiest district and find scads of people looking for a race. This was the only thing I really enjoyed doing with randoms. Nowadays all I find are a few toons standing around in GSW even in the busiest of districts. Most not even racing and just standing there. I'm very lucky anymore to find a 4 man race and fortunate just to find one other person.

I find it sad. Is everyone just "trading wins" now and no one even wants to race for the fun of it?

I think people (including me) find racing just boring. I mean there are so many other better racing games. If anyone is racing, it's for the laff points and not the fun.

I can race for fun, but 100 wins on each track? It's just treacherous.(sp?) I haven't started hardcore laff racing yet, but I can imagine that after 20 races it would start to get boring.

I agree with you sturge. (Just so ya know, Zippetyham is the racing district). Why is everyone getting so bored of racing??? It's the absolute best part of Toontown, and nobody goes to it anymore. Maybe it's because everyone races on Mondays, thats when it's really crowded. Or, people now have all the trophies they want right now, except the super hard ones to get. I still think most people love racing. I know I do :smiley31: :smiley38: . The people that probably h8 racing just don't like it when they lose so they'll go back to the HQ's.

I used to race for fun only, and I remember when it was popular, but maybe that's just becuase it was new. And yeah, I bet there are better racing games than that.

i like racing for a goal, like gettin a new part for my kart, i never let or ask to win, i am gunna try to get 25 tornys swept, but not 100 won(300 if you cont all 3 places).


PS: will all of you curios newbs on free trials STOP hanging around Speedway and makein it look like there are tons of racers!?!?!?

well i'd say the only fun is winning tickets for new accessorries or karts. Those are the cooles things about racing besides grand prix.

i always win lol once i was againt this roadster and i have the 1st model in blizzard bouvalard rev and i beat him! and i got 3 anvils on me at last lap.

i put one one him tho lol. racing is skill when turning around the corners but most of it is luck

Racing is pretty... Boring. I only race right now to get my black paint, and trophies/laffboosts. After just a couple races I usualy stop racing.

I race for real, because its better to get your trophies out of fun, not out of "I gotta be the best so my sfs will help me cheat" way. I do help my friends out, and they help me out too, but only when they are really close to the next trophy. Also, if you look hard enough, you will find some ppl racing. Maybe call one friend to race for fun, and more ppl will come eventually. Thats what i do.

I presonally find racing boring. The only time you will see me there is eather getting laff or chating with sf's

After GSW came out and the hype went down I never really raced again till the new tracks and then I got meh roadster by Channeling Racing. Because I kept setting records giving me thousands of tickets. I have around 9,000 in tickets.

But 100 races in wins and DOING is very annoying and I really don't think Toontown was very smart here. But trading wins is like the safest way to get your trophy.
