You don't say what laff your toon is but since you mention that you have tasks to do which, require help from sf's, I am assuming that you have not completed DDL. Please bear with me while I relate my story to you and hopefully you will take my advice in the way I am offering it--good naturedly and from one who's been through it. 2c
When GSW made its appearance on open, fortunately only one of my three toons had tasks other than bucks or merits. I was saddened when several of my sf's began to spend time there. However, I didn't delete any of them when they decided to race rather than work on their tasks. I am no fan of racing and I raced each of my toons just enough to get their first racing laff point boost.
But you know how I spent a great deal of my time while my sf's were racing? First of all, I helped those sf's who were not at GSW. Secondly, I helped random toons. (Try it sometimes. It can be fun.) Thirdly and most importantly, I fished and fished and fished and by the time I left open for test in early December 2005, my three toons had 67, 66 and 65 fish respectively.
When law came out on open, there I was sitting comfortably with a 118, a 117 and a 106 toon. My toons made Legal Eagle and Big Wig easily and by the first of June I had a 120 laffer. The reality that I could build my toons up to 125 dawned on me. I left law and I headed straight for GSW. I raced my heart out on my 120 toon. It took 5 long, hard weeks of racing, but I managed to get those last two laff points. Yippee! Now I had a 122 laffer!!
After this, I headed for the ponds and spent the next 4 weeks fishing and on the 9th of July, I caught my 70th fish. Woo Hoo! Another laff point. Now my biggest toon is a 123 and needs only 11 more CJ's to reach 125.
The point of my long winded story is this: Fishing is the hardest task in all of Toontown. Goofy Speedway is the second hardest. The difference between the two is that GSW is infinitely more attainable. If I had to do it all over again, I would take my 16 laffer, fish until I caught the 38 species of fish which are capable of being caught on a twig and then I would complete GSW. Then and only then, I would begin my tasks in Toontown Central.
