You don't say what laff your toon is but since you mention that you have tasks to do which, require help from sf's, I am assuming that you have not completed DDL. Please bear with me while I relate my story to you and hopefully you will take my advice in the way I am offering it--good naturedly and from one who's been through it. 2c

When GSW made its appearance on open, fortunately only one of my three toons had tasks other than bucks or merits. I was saddened when several of my sf's began to spend time there. However, I didn't delete any of them when they decided to race rather than work on their tasks. I am no fan of racing and I raced each of my toons just enough to get their first racing laff point boost.

But you know how I spent a great deal of my time while my sf's were racing? First of all, I helped those sf's who were not at GSW. Secondly, I helped random toons. (Try it sometimes. It can be fun.) Thirdly and most importantly, I fished and fished and fished and by the time I left open for test in early December 2005, my three toons had 67, 66 and 65 fish respectively.

When law came out on open, there I was sitting comfortably with a 118, a 117 and a 106 toon. My toons made Legal Eagle and Big Wig easily and by the first of June I had a 120 laffer. The reality that I could build my toons up to 125 dawned on me. I left law and I headed straight for GSW. I raced my heart out on my 120 toon. It took 5 long, hard weeks of racing, but I managed to get those last two laff points. Yippee! Now I had a 122 laffer!!

After this, I headed for the ponds and spent the next 4 weeks fishing and on the 9th of July, I caught my 70th fish. Woo Hoo! Another laff point. Now my biggest toon is a 123 and needs only 11 more CJ's to reach 125.

The point of my long winded story is this: Fishing is the hardest task in all of Toontown. Goofy Speedway is the second hardest. The difference between the two is that GSW is infinitely more attainable. If I had to do it all over again, I would take my 16 laffer, fish until I caught the 38 species of fish which are capable of being caught on a twig and then I would complete GSW. Then and only then, I would begin my tasks in Toontown Central.

I honestly don't care what my friends do. They're on my list because they're my friends not they're to be used to help finish all my tasks. If friend's want to help me then great! If not then that's fine too. It is not up to me what my friend's do or do not do. Sure I may be the person about to press x off my friends list but do I really want to do that because they don't want to waste their time helping me with something that they don't need. I think not.

Tons of my sfs are ushually below 100 but I do have a few who are in GSW a ton. So I stick with helping out my other sfs or just working on new toons.

I couldnt agree with you any LESS, if someone wants to race and get all there trophies before they work other things then they can. I can believe you actually xed someone for racing to much. And they dont have to ever help you on your tasks its there life and there toon and im pretty sure they care more about working there own stuff than yours.

Uhm, I've been doing that a lot. I need 3 more trophies for a Laff Boost. Why not work on that? I have over 30,000 tickets xD, and I have all the best decorations along with the Roadster.

You will need to race too sometimes if you want to max your toon. Your friends don't must help you everytime you need. They will help you when they can and when they want. And im sure they won't play gsw forever, they just want to max it, like you want to finish your tasks. If you help them to win races and they still never help you when you need, then yes, its annoys, because its not very nice. But if you don't help them to race, and you don't help them with something else, is ok if they also don't want to help you. Because you don't help them because you work on your task, and is ok, you busy, its not because you hate them or something like that. And they don't help you because they work on gsw, so is ok too, because they are busy too.
Look on that from other side - lets say that im your friend, and i work on races. I ask you few times to help me win, but you don't want, because you work on your tasks. Then i ask you again later, but still you can't help, because you always work on your tasks! Always! Why do you want to work on your tasks and not help me? Just because you want to finish your tasks? Is so mean! Maybe i will x you, just because of that!
Do you think is ok? I think is not.

Like anything in TT, you don't 'have' to do it, but if your goal in the game is to completely max out your toon, then fishing and racing are the two things that take a very long time to do (racing depending on how much help you get from friends), but are essential to get all the laff you can possibly get. Thus someone working on those will sometimes do it to the exclusion of all else, because they want to get it over and done with.

My main toon is working on his last 7 trophies. I can speak from experience, when you see one of those tough trophies appear after a race (like 100 Speedway races won), 'race fever' kicks in, and you race a lot to try and get another.

I've actually had friends who left my list because I fished too much. Now I get to look forward to them leaving my list because I'm trying to get laff points at the races?

Yuck.

However, it does swing both ways........The other day I was racing and my friend asked for help. I finished my race and helped him and then went back to another race. That's also what I do when I'm fishing usually. Just that sometimes I'd get bombarded by the friend who wants me to EVERY task with him all day long.

I say there CAN be a happy middle ground and if you and your friend can't find it then you're not very well matched and you should consider giving that friend slot to someone else.

I like racing at the speedway and know quite a few people who are on a mission to get a certain car and all the Accessories...that's about 105,000 tickets. You don't get these by knocking down cog buildings.

If you were truly their friend, you would have understood this but since you do not, it is better that you removed yourself from their list.
