Question about Monday Grand Prix

When you race in the Grand Prix races, does it count toward the regular race tropies at the same time? In the Grand Prix, if I win the city circuit race and qualify in the other two races, does it count the win toward the city circuit trophy? Or does it only apply to the Grand Prix trophy?
