You can't always win!

Where has the sportsmanship gone? This goes for all the selfish toons out there who x out just because they are doing poorly in golf. This is by far the most selfish act i've ever seen on toontown. You can't always win and other people are just as determined to get golf trophies as you are, so please stay even if you don't win... it still counts toward everything else. In addition, I get stunk almost every time I get a hole in one and someone else doesn't. Sorry, How do I stink if I get lucky one time? whenever I see someone make a nice shot, I congratulate them, if i lose, I say good game and try again! Come on, can we see a little bit of decency please?

If people aren't going to stop this, toontown seriously needs to make it so that if a player leaves, ( when it's just you and another person), you win automatically, because this just isn't fair.

See, the only problem with that, is it's goofy speedway all over again. Then people just try to make the mulriplayer courses go faster when people leave. People will use this to their advantage, especially high laff toons who want to get their laff fast. I agree though, people need to get a better sportsmanship. But make sure, that if they're trying to go alone, that you're not getting on the wrong cart.

The big problem with getting an automatic win if someone Xes out is... How easy would it be to get 100 wins on the 9 hole course if you just had a friend X out of the first hole. You could be finished in a day.

I'm not really sure there is a good solution to this problem, but yes, the rudeness needs to stop.

I completely with everyone. It is crazy. So many toons have done it to me. I can understand if you are maybe 5-8 years old, but anyone older I think should not be that much of a poor sport.

I think that the person who leaves the course should be punished. Either negative wins or not be able to golf for x amount of time. Something like that.

I love these Thanksgiving smilies!

Omigosh I totally like that idea. Well you couldnt do negative wins because if someone disconnect it is not their fault so it would seem like they Xed. I think no leaving ever would be great. Like Toontown could make it so if you tried to just logout it wouldnt work (maybe a pop up would pop up and say Sorry you need to finish your golf game before Toontown can exit!). But if you disconnected it could say whisper to the person/people (_______ disconnected from the Toontown server. We hope you understand! Have fun!). Or just something like that would be a great thing to have.

The problem with a punishment is there are toons who get stuck. My daughter's toon gets stuck occasionally on the golf course. I think the toons who x out are kids for the most part. My 4 yr old will occasionally x out when he gets really frustrated (not bc he's not winning... he really doesn't understand who wins the golf game. He thinks he's helping his "friends" when he gets on a cart with any toon. He usually will stick it out, but I've seen him x out on some of those really tough holes before I can get to him) I have been sorry to see a little toon x out with me on the green course... I always let the other toon win that one. But I just figure its just someone who got really mad at the ball. lol

That wouldn't necessarily be a good idea. What if a kid is playing, and they are told to get off the computer or else they're grounded or something? They would be forced to stay because they simply cannot leave, leaving them upset because they are in trouble. Also, there's no way toontown could MAKE you stay. All it takes is the push of a button on the computer to completely restart it, thus, making you leave the game.

Haha, I honestly wouldn't have a problem with the automatic win system, sure would make things a whole lot easier....

Anyways I'm not a great golfer, and when i finally get lucky and get a couple hole in ones and mostly birdies on the hard course, and when It's hole nine and I'm about to win and the other player x's out, it' not fair at all. I agree with the losing wins system... though that's not fair for the people who disconnect from a faulty internet connection. I think it would be funny, if someone xed out before they lost they were stuck in acorn acres when they logged back in and had to let so and so win before they could leave and visit other playgrounds. This option is hardly feasible, but it's still a funny thought. maybe bad sportsmanship = suspension?
