If someone wants to go alone then they should go to a district where there is no one there, otherwise, if they choose to stay in a district with other toons, even just one, they risk the chance of someone else going with them. It isnt really hard to change districts.

That's not the point. He didn't know they wanted to go alone, until he already joined them, so they had no right to be mean to him. They could have just alted out, or just finished the course without complaining.. No need to grief someone in that situation.

YES!! I know how it feels!
I think they should take out the "You stink!" and the "Ha ha!" phrases, they just cause havoc, and of course, complaining victims. this is pathetic: Whoever stinks clueless non-sfs, or in this case 'ha-has' them, GROW UP. Did I stink you because me and my SF wanted to go alone? NO, of course not! Grow up! -MWMN Last edited by Lady Freckles; 09-18-2007 at 04:31 AM. Reason: Personal Info |

Your best bet is either play with friends or to ask first rather than hopping on with toons you don't know as the clock hits 0. They would probably prefer playing with two and you probably did not leave them the option of hopping off before the clock hit 0. How would you feel if you were them?
There was no call for them to be mean but you should consider their perspective too. They might be swapping wins in the process of working on their 3 laff points. An additional toon makes the course take much longer and with the extra toon you reduce your chance of a win significantly. Basically you hopping on more than doubles the time it takes to get their next win (assuming all toons have an equal chance of winning). Again no call to be mean. Being in a busy district does not mean all manners should be forgotten. If the clock is under 7 wait for the next. Hop on when they do so they have time to hop off if your presence is not wanted. Ask if anyone wants to golf or if they need help. If it is a busy district there should be plenty of toons willing to play with you. Sometimes I say "Want to golf?" to the playground and then hop in the cart and wait for someone to join me. I made the invitation and am happy if one or more toons hops in my cart. But if I am working with a friend it is upsetting to get an extra toon in the cart too late to hop off. It doesn't give me a license to be mean to them but my attitude might not be as friendly or helpful. They might consider changing to a quieter district but might not be able to easily if they are not friends. X-ing out is not an option either if they are not friends. They might be friends on other toons but not on the ones playing because of lack of space in their lists. They might be randoms working together swapping wins. In any case you are jumping on the cart without an invitation. The fastest way to the 3 laff points is to play with only two toons in the cart. If you are the 3rd you are slowing them down. Be polite and ask first or better yet invite toons into your cart. That way there is no need for anyone to get stinky, mean or upset except at the gopher who blasts your ball out of the hole. Have fun! Be polite! Remember the golden rule! Last edited by Boggy; 09-21-2007 at 04:58 PM. |
