Agreed.
There needs to be a creative solution for some of these situations. I do not "get" the hoping on the golf cart and off at the last second. I'm not uspet.... so what if I play a round of golf by myself. OH well. I don't need you. But I do enjoy golfing with SF's. I know they will stay in the game. Also, they are a lot more fun to tease when they have bad shots...... (of course, that means making fun of me is fair game too! hehe) |

I am utterly befuddled why people do things like all this. How little do you have in your life that you need to do this in a video game? It's like other chat boards and people just go there to troll and grief. I will never get humans.
![]() I've only had two bad rounds- one, the guy just jumped in the cart and didn't do anything. I sat through 2 of his countdowns before closing TT and restarting. The other was on the medium (thankfully- I didn't have to listen to her for 9 holes...) and halfway through she just starts You Stink!-ing me for ZERO reason, even though we were saying hooray and encouraging her. Because she <stunk> and I didn't is the only thing I could get... Anyway- I love the idea of a safe golfing district. If I want to be alone, I look for a blue district and head there. If not, when someone jumps on my cart I say Hi there! or Yay! I will be up for safe golfing times whenever someone wants to go. Last edited by Dizzy; 09-19-2007 at 08:58 PM. My five year old was beating the pants off someone, and they did the wait it out technique. The third player f4'd, so it was just my daughter and the griefer. So I took over, and out waited him. She got her points and he got nada. She was frustrated, so I had to step in. Being an adult I could out-wait the guy all day to make sure she got her points, no problem.
I myself have been left on several of the courses rather abruptly, but I like to think they got disco'd rather than run. It is ashame that you loose the points to the multiplayer courses, but at least you get points towards the other trophies. I think that if you are over a certain percentage of the course through, you should get credit for sticking it out to the end, especially if the other guy disco's or leaves. Now that I have my two laff points on Baroness, I will probably just concentrate on trading the wins with friends so we can all get that last point. Time to start working on LVZ's points. Anyway, I'm extremely fed up with people leaving near the end of the course just because they're losing. There really is no reason to do that, if you run you're not doing anything but hurting yourself anyway. I have 50/100 wins on the hard course, and I've probably had people leave, or claim that they had to go, atleast 15 times, and it's really frustrating. First off, toughen up, if you're losing, don't be a little baby and quit just because you don't get a win out of it, if you lose then you lose, whether you run or not. It's not like running's going to help, either way you're not getting credit for a win in the shticker book after the course, so why run, especially if the person you're playing as done nothing wrong. Second off, don't join a 9 hole course, unless you have time to finish it. This morning I had a mouse go in with me, and once we hit about the 7th hole she said "I need to go", I'm not sure if she really did need to go, or if she just wanted to leave cause I was beating her pretty badly. Anyway, I said "wait a minute", followed by "we can do this", so she stayed, even though she seemed like she really didn't want to, then we hit the 9th hole, and I got it in on two shots, securing my win, and she once again said "I need to go".. I mean come on, your telling me you absolutely have to go when all you need to do is hit the ball maybe 2 to 3 more times??? Well, apparently she did, and left the couse, thus wasting 20 minutes of my life, and ruined my chances of getting another win and multi-player course completed. Toontown really needs to make Golfing like Racing, to where if someone leaves the course, the person that's still there gets credit for the win, and everthing else. Sorry about the venting lol, Golfing is just really frustrating, and it doesn't help that there's people out there that make it harder on everyone for no reason. I, too am very disappointed with some of the toons who just leave. Some even announce it to you before hand. So yesterday I sent a report to toontown saying that players are intentionally doing it. Guess what there response was today. Another one of those graphic card issues and something about updating a driver!!! That wasn't even my complaint! I have had no issues with freezing or discoing. I really hope they don't ignore what is going on. it isn't fair at all to not get credit. 600 multi player courses is going to take weeks for me. Having this added griefing is not going to help me get it done.
