Estimated Times to Complete Golf Trophies
Here are two strategies for getting the golf trophies. One is based on 2 or more toons dividing the wins evenly. The second is based on one toon taking all the wins - perhaps a person with 2 computers and 2 toontown accounts.
One key point is that it makes no sense to play with more that two players if you are trying to finish the trophies. It takes about 3 weeks (8 hrs x 5 days) to finish with 2 toons playing, but 3 months to do the same with 4. Dividing the Wins Method: Evenly dividing the wins with two players is perhaps the most efficient way through. You play 200 rounds on each of the 3 courses and thus finish 600 multiplayer games at the same time. The other trophies should be long finished by the end. With 3 players you need to play 300 games on each course and with 4 players 400 on each course. Finishing golf with 4 players is the equivalent of 3 months at 40 hours per week. Taking All Wins Method: One toon takes all the wins on the 6 and 9 hole courses, while the other toon gets multiplayer completions and shares wins on the 3 hole course. Taking all the wins goes faster as you only need to play 100 games on the 9 hole and 6 hole courses and then finish with 400 games on the 3 hole course. That should complete the 100 wins on the 3 courses as well as 600 multiplayer games. It makes little sense to do this with more than two toons but the time estimates are below. The second toon will be finished with everything but the 100 wins on the 6 and 9 hole courses and could be finished in about 55 hrs by playing those courses and taking all the wins. Players / Dividing wins / Taking all wins 2 / 125 hrs / 86 hrs 3 / 282 hrs / 128 hrs 4 / 501 hrs / 171 hrs This assumes a rate of about 1.1 minutes per player per hole on the 6 hole and 9 hole courses (about 20 minutes for a two toon match on 9 holes) and about 0.75 minutes per player per hole on the 3 hole courses (about 13 rounds per hour with two toons). Those rates are pretty fast and some might find it difficult to sustain while others might go a bit faster. You need to be pretty good to play fast as each extra stroke adds time. I doubt these rates could be matched playing with randoms given the erratic play and x-ing out. Assuming 15 hours of golf per day (and no cheats) it would take about 6 days for someone to finish golf using the faster "taking all wins" method. Playing 24 hours, perhaps two or more people working on one toon, you could finish in about 3.6 days. I doubt you would see a 132 before the 16th. I would expect to hear of a 132 sometime after the 17th of September. |

Another way to look at it...
I got a question about the original post and thought it might clarify things to add some detail.
The 20 minutes figure is for a 9 hole course with two people. You can do the 6s and 3s faster. The 3s are even faster because they are easier with more holes in one. here is a quick estimate using slightly different numbers to show it a different way (all figures are for 2 toons following the dividing wins method): 20 minutes for a 9 hole * 200 = 4000 mins or 66.67 hrs 12 minutes for a 6 hole * 200 = 2400 mins or 40 hrs 5 minutes for a 3 hole * 200 = 1000 mins or 16.67 hrs total is 123.33 hours, pretty close to 125 hrs. The times will vary depending on the players and how quickly they play. I have seen times on the 3 hole course in the 4 minute range (15 matches per hour) and the 10 minute range (6 matches per hour). Hope that makes it clearer. |
