Exclamation Golf Changes I would like to see

First off, multiplayer is a problem, so this is what I would like to see happen.

Less time to shoot. Give us more like 30 or 40 seconds.

If someone fails to shoot twice, kick them out.

There is nothing worse than jumping on a cart with a foursome and having the other three just letting the clock run out until they eventually leave the course.

Better physics on the collisions.

Unless I am just doing something wrong, the ball seems to bounce somewhat unpredictably off walls. You can make the same shot twice and sometimes it will angle the way you want and sometimes it will almost just follow the wall.

Don't show me the card after every shot or move the scorecard review up.

I like that it goes away fairly quickly, but it is in the way and I don't need to see it so often. The end of the hole is fine for a review.

Put my little face on the left side as well and put our current scores to the right of them.

That would be a much easier way to keep track.

Change the order of who goes first as you play.

Maybe use the honors system like in real golf, but I don't like being the one to show the way on every single hole. I also don't like it if someone has never played before and they are forced to go first the whole time.

Anything I've missed? Agree or disagree?

I agree with everything you said, and I love your idea about the scorecard and having our scores next to our faces on the left.

They should also make it so that if your opponent(s) alt+F4's, disconects, or somehow gets booted in the middle of a game, you should earn the multiplayer win. This can soon wind up to be the ultimate griefing device if it isn't stopped soon.

I agree with everything, i also think that if there is a tie then everyone in the tie should get a win and not just one random toon. And if someone do alt f4 or get dc and there is only one toon left, this toon should get a win if he finish, like in races.

I agree 100% with Cool Corny ELectrofoot. I have a funny feeling that is already happening.

I also agree 100% with Slate. Seems crummy that if you're winning for 8 holes and they manage to tie it up on the 9th, they could randomly take your win away. I suppose they could give the win to the person with more birdies or holes in one, but random is just a junky way to do it.

I agree too, and does anyone else have a problem with the movin bar on the course starting over as soon as you hit?

I don't know exactly what you mean, but sometimes when I let go of Ctrl to hit the ball it will act as if I haven't done anything and then several seconds later it will shoot. It worries me when it does that, but I've assumed it is my connection, not Toontown.

Is that what you're referring to?

I think that the golf carts are a good idea but there is something they shouldve done. you should earn tickets and be able to buy ur own golf cart and cusomize it. you should be able to drive it to the golf course insted of it driving u there.

no as soon as i hit the ball the sliding bar will move back to the position it first started sliding in so if it started right it will move all the way back right even if its all the way to the left.

Yep, everyone has that. I'm kinda used to it by now, doesn't bother me much.

I'd like the time to reset on the golf carts. Because I hate when toons jump off at the last second and leave you all alone. It's annoying.

I agree with the OP

One thing I noticed about the order of player turns (and I'm sure most of you have noticed also) is that it depends on where you are sitting in the cart.

FRONT SEATS
Driver----------------------1st turn
Front Passenger------------2nd turn

BACK SEATS
Driver side Passenger-------3rd turn
Passenger side Passenger---4th turn

So if you don't want to always go first, don't be the first to hop in the cart.
If you'd rather have the 2nd turn, make sure you ride shotgun.

The moving bars delay effect that start over once you hit the ball is done deliberately to match the exact timing of your ball strike with the bar movement.

If you look closer on where the bars are once you hit the ball and where they are set again when the rolling ball animation starts, then you'll understand that it is just right that way.

In fact it's done quite good by the developers to meet the requirements for the game delay when calculating the proper raceway for the rolling ball. Of course it could be better, but imagine you would need to regard the delay in timing yourself - that would be merely impossible.

Golf Score

How about actually showing the current golf score like -3, +2, etc.? It's kind of hard to see how much under par you are when you're on hole 6 out of 9.

I agree with most of the above, especially not popping up the score chart after every single shot. That blocks the hole and slows down the game.

But I like the somewhat random bouncing off the walls. Otherwise, there would be a guide that had the exact solution for every hole, every time, pretty boring. But I could do without crazy stuff like the ball bouncing off the wall faster than it was going when it hit the wall. And once my ball slowly rolled up to the hole, then shot up about 3 feet in the air off to the side.

I agree with everything you said, especially about better physics. One thing I would also like to see is a more realistic way for the ball to go in. Sometimes I'll just barely hit it in, And it'll bounce out.
