That is your own opinion. She can choose whatever gag she wants.

Drop
Pros: Second strongest gag, and you can hold more of it than trap. Easy to train if you've got a friend that is willing to help.
Cons: Misses a lot. Hard to train alone if you only have up to the anvil.

Trap:
Pros: Strongest gag. Organic Train (the level 7 gag) can take out 4 level 12 cogs. An organic TNT can almost take out a level 12 on its own.
Cons: Can't carry as much as other gags. Needs lure to train. Not very effective until you get TNT. If you don't have a gag that does enough damage to finish off the cog, some toons may get mad at you.

Sound:
Pros: Very efficient. Gets through cogs quickly. Almost everyone has it.
Cons: Weakest gag in the game (if used alone). You can carry a lot of these, but the gags seem to drain quickly. Very boring if it's the only gag used throughout the whole factory/mint/etc.

Those are some key things about each gag. Hope that helps you decide.

BTW, I didn't vote.

Good summary.

One thing I see people miss often though is that traps assist lures. That a trap may kill a cog is purely incidental; the main benefit of trap is to make sure the lure works. As such, traps get used constantly and nearly everywhere you go where there are high level cogs, be it a boss run, Mint, DA's Office, or CGC. Toons should back-up the trapper with gags to finish off the cog. This makes it much easier to train. For my toon with sound and drop, I hardly ever used drop until pianos. I would go an entire week without reaching for it, and would only get points for it when others were specifically working drops or if I was alone (and I don't need to tell you how painful it is to train drop if you are alone!). My soundless toon however found that drop could be used frequently when the others were using sound and some cogs would remain that needed to be finished off.

You should be dropless because it is a slow progress to train that track.

Has that been proven?

I trained my drop while I was in the factory. The other 3 toons would sound, and I would use drop on the highest level cog.

If you're playing alone, does drop take longer to train than trap?

I chose dropless just because its the hardest to train but I completely agree with Coconut! They're are good things and bad things in choosing each one-it all depends on your point of veiw.

And I do also agree that going soundless is challenging! But being soundless is not all bad. Ive heard from alot of ppl that its actually fun not having it because its different that what theyre used to.

So I say choose which ever ones you want-none of these are extremely needed to survive.

PS You have such a mix of opinion here! I hope you're still able to make a good descision!

That all depends. There's actually 2 ways to look at that:

1. Drop does miss ALOT more than trap.
2.Trap takes 2 turns to make it work if you're playing alone. (One to trap and one to lure)

So they can both take a long time. But either way, I still say I would rather work with friends!

My Mood:
GO DROPLESS >:O
LOL...
I have nothing against soundless toons. They're probubly really skilled players, but I, personally, wouldn't go soundless. I'm lazy, & wouldn't want to put forth the effort of taking twice as long in a fac, building, etc. Also, trap is a really strong gag, just like drop, but I wish I'd chosen trap over drop...=\. Drop misses alot more, but trap can also be hard to train if you're by yourself.

I would not recommend soundless because of the griefing that would await you.

Now drop or trap I think is a hard choice because both are really cool gags! Although, since you do have lure you could train both trap and lure at same time... instead of just drop. Drop was wickid hard for me but then again I maxed it when there wasnt invasion (so no double exp) but once you get it to level 5 I think its pretty easy. Trap I thought was just easy, I got tnt really really quickly. Its really what you like better, dropping pianos or exploding cogs? Both mad cool but cant have both :/ less you choose to be soundless.

Thanks for replying and voting, everyone!
Based on the votes, you guys are saying that I should be dropless.
I dont really mind on how long a gag track takes to train, but I think I would like using trap (and it also has perfect accuracy; you just need the lure to work!). I'll keep this in mind when I get my new paid-account in May!
