Toontown: Robbing us, or saving us from reality?

Do you think Toontown has gone a tad overboard? I mean, they are:
Asking maybe a bit too much for money on memberships
Getting a bit too strict
Ripping us off ($9.50 for a month?! Thats just for going to other playgrounds pretty much!)
Eavesdropping (Let me make this clear to some devs: GETCHA OWN LIFE!!!!!)

Either that or theyre "saving" us from reality.
What do you think?

I do not think Disney is trying to rip us off. The $10 per month fee is reasonable when compared to other games, and there is more than just playgrounds. You get to explore the whole game, remember. Disney also needs to make its money, and the "eavesdropping" is for our own good and for keeping the game safe. I do not see any problem with this aspect of the game.

No way! TT is so not ripping us off! I think the price is reasonable...especially when u consider that if you pay monthly, the price is 120 a yr. But to buy a yr subscription is only 80! Theyre saving us 40 whole bucks which I think its pretty good!

And about the evesdropping thing, thats what theyre there for, is to keep us all safe! Think about all the parrents who would complain to TT about how they feel the trouble their child got into was all because of TT and how they should monitor their customer's convos better!

So in short, I think the workers of TT do a great job! Keep up the good work!!

Well I think it depends. The price IS resonable enough, but they have become a little too strict with the chat filter thingys. >_>

I say NO, If you think about it, it cost money to add more graphics, and Disneyland needs money too. Also its a GREAT game!

I couldn't have said it better! :P
TT is a responsable company who tries there best to have a safe fun invironment for kids and teens to play, which is why they moniter while were all on. And the price is a good price and they have to pay the people who sit and make sure we have that good environment.
So I think disney and TT do good work all around! :P
THX GUYS!!

Okay.

I pay 80 bucks a year. That's 6.67 a month. xD

& really, it is not that much of a rip off. At least for Disney. Think of it this way.
As soon as I max everything, I'm switching to World of Warcraft. That means I have to pay 15 dollars a month just to play, AND pay 40 dollars in expansion packs, while still knowing that I could be killed at any moment by a higher player as I train- yeah, you don't lose your items, but it takes a LONG time... unlike Toontown.

I don't think they're ripping us off at all.. For the cost of the they need to pay for it's VERY reasonable to ask for $10 a month. It's a very sfe fun game for family members. Now if you want to make a poll for if they're being to strict on what you can and can't say in TT I'll vote yes...

I think the price is very reasonable for the fun and enjoyment gained from it all ... and that's with three accounts. I always monitor my son when he's online but I feel safer overall in knowing that Disney is doing their part there as well.

I'm going to have to change to the annual fees though ... nice savings

I think the cost is reasonable, but I'd like to see them enable some sort of family plan where you can have additional accounts at a discounted price.
