couldn't have said it better myself! IMHO, lure is WAY too important to pass up. however, there are many fantastic toons out there who are lureless, so i don't have anything against them. but lure is extremely handy to have, and you already have drop (which is also a very powerful gag) so you don't need trap as much.

Trappless. You can only use trap if you have lure, and lure can be used not only for trap!

Choose lure if you want an easy way when you solo things. If you are lureless, so when you are alone you don't have lure, you can't use trap, you can't use toon up because you are alone, if the cogs are high levels then sound won't really help you, so your only gags will be throw, squirt and drop... And maybe sound sometimes, but not a lot. You can still solo things, but it will be harder for you. BUT if you don't want to solo anything, then you can go lureless, its still harder because you might need your lure sometimes, but in a team of 4 toons (sometimes even less) when the other 3 have lure, you probably won't need it, and you will have both trap and drop... So think what is better for you.
By the way, when i say solo i don't talk about boss battles, because even if you will want to solo a boss battle, you will probably solo that one time only, so it doesn't really matter... Im talking about solo buildings, solo battles when you get stuck alone, or when you go into a mint for example and your team leave in the middle, or when your team hate you and don't choose gags so you will go sad and you must finish by yourself... Things like that.
