Trap or lure

I'm just about ready to get my next gag track. It's down to one of these. My son has lure and wants me to get trap so that we can work together which would be good but I see other toons marked as 'lureless' which tends to make them sound unattractive. What shall I choose ?

Hmm.. Lureless or trapless. If you want to work with your son like he said, I'd go lureless. But do you want to be able to solo? It's extremely difficult to solo buildings, anything unless you have lure. It's your decision though, choose wisely! =D

I became trapless myself. I was thinking going to be lureless back in my free trial days, but once I did my first VP, I realized that lure is a gag you really should have. Of course that was when I was 40 or 50 laff when I didn't know better. I'd go trapless but it's your choise.

Lure is good because it makes trap work and prevents cogs from attacking for a while. But I think you should choose trap because, like everyone said, there aren't much lureless people and trap requires lure to work. It also does alot of damage; more damage then Drop. If you choose trap, you will have killer gags once you max everything. And if people tell you 'I think you should choose lure.' 'I think you should choose trap.' 'No(!!!)' 'You stink!' Don't let people get to you. There aren't very nice people in the world. I'm not saying everyone is mean though, you might encounter a nice toon that actually goes with you that goes in the VP fight, etc. So I reccomend trap. You can also make a toon that's lureless if you have room.

I think you should get lure so you can do solo bulidings. I am trapless myself, Working on my last drop frame.In my opinon Lure is better but it is YOUR descion.

If you want no challenge, lure.

Getting trap would make things a lot harder on you. I would go trapless. IMO trap is the least useful gag.

lureless doesnt make u bad! it has nvr served a problem for me!

but i have had trap since mml... and its my only unmaxxed gag... trap is powerful and if u wanna work with ur son, i would go with trap. lure... theres so many toons with lure that theres such a small chance that u'll be with 3 other "what ppl call a nececity gag"-less that u wont have to worry about it. and if u run withur son, u'll be able to work ur gags.

If I was you I would go trapless because as many others said if you want to solo anything cp, cfo, buildings it would really help if you had lure.

Depending upon the gags you have already chosen, and the playground you are currently working, you might still have the opportunity to get trap at a later date. The most "unpopular" choices for going "-less" would have to be toonupless and soundless. Lureless is more of a personal gag choice I think. You're less likely to get stunk as much as the other choices I mentioned, and your gameplay at the higher levels will be more difficult. Especially if you begin seeking out more of the challenges that have been mentioned here.

I would take lure because you could solo stuff like vps or cfos when your toon gets better.

Well if you want to make your son happy then choose trap.

If you think you'd rather not do things with your son and solo things then choose lure.

Hehe, well there is no bad choice really. I'm lureless and it doesn't bother me at all. It did at first but once you max all your gags it is as if you are the best player out there because you have both piano and tnt!

Lureless will be much more of a challenge... don't take this too lightly. I recently came very close to making one of my little toons lureless. I was all ready with the decision made well in advance. Then I find myself being a 60 laffer with all gags maxed but TU but I can't solo a 4 story bld!! So as my frustration mounts I decide to choose lure instead of trap as my last gag track.

This is solely from my perspective... I can't imagine TT without being able to pop online for 30 min to do a quick bld or two without waiting to hook up with a friend or wait for randoms that will only irritate me lol.

The question for you is: Do you enjoy time alone or do you always have a group of friends with you for help? If you enjoy time alone then get lure... if someone will always be with you that has lure then go for it!

I have LURE. My hubby has TRAP but right now we don't play together.

I didn't think I'd like lure when I first saw it. The toons I was seening missed their lures quite a bit. I didn't get a good view of the POWER OF THE LURE. Now that I have it (and it's maxed) I think it is astounding!! If you can choose lure, I would do so.

You said that your son has lure, but do you play at the same time and have the same tasks? That would be a consideration also. I know you want to help your son....decisions!! Decisions!!
