So please please! Go outside with your friends and go to the creek or run around. I just realized when I'm 21 or so I'll have great responsibities for my kids and all the bills etc. Maybe then I'll realize: Hey, I'm father i need to support my family not play outside or play TT. I want to remeber the loooong days out-side comin out on the morning goin in at night with all my friends having the best time in the world. Except you are inside staring at a screen. Video tape yourself playing toontown. You will see yourself most likely with your head on your hand with a blank stare on your face. Then video tape yourself outside with your friends and you tell me which one you would want to remember as yourself. I'm not saying don't play TT I'm just saying put it as a low,low priority.

THESE are the days we will remember and they will not last forever.

I agree 100%!!!! I think more people should read this....

edit: if u can't go outside, play an active game on the wii or ddr (dance dance revolution).

Are you implying that I have no life? Because that's kind of what it sounds like. Which is funny, since you have absolutely no idea who I am personally.

I was the 39(?) person to max. Yes, that is maxing pretty quickly, but it doesn't mean I don't go out and hang out all the time, because I do. The reason I was able to max so fast is because I had a lot of free time. Unlike most people, I had no job, and didn't go to school(Now I have a part-time job, could be a full-time one in the future.. Oh Oh, guess what, it's a job that involves ALWAYS being OUTSIDE =O). I also had a broken ankle for the first week and a half BBHQ was out(You would never guess how I broke my ankle, I LEFT THE HOUSE to go play basketball =O), which kept me in the house much more than I usually am. I still went out practically everyday(once my ankle was healed), and still managed to get between 5-8 hours of work in on BBHQ on most days, because of all the free time I had. (I actually didn't play some days, =O Woah)

Oh, and by the way, I didn't even play Toontown last summer, because I was never home to. I honestly think I got on less than 10 times ALL last summer, and even when I did get on, it was for an extremely short amount of time.

Think before you go implying things that you have no idea about

But I live 30 miles away from my good friends and I don't have friends at the school I'm currently going to..

So I stay on the computer for hours on end. :P..

Who cares what I do anyway? o.o.. I have <plenty of> years to be a teen.. :].. So I have plenty of time to go hang out with my friends and whatnot.

So you are basically telling us to go play outside and quit toontown? Not trying to be mean but your on a toontown fansite talking about the golden ages. If your over 20 years of age I understand.
But these, these are the new ages...
We have new technology. I forget who said this Jules Verne or H.G. Wells but one said (this is in War of the worlds but not in the book but after writting it he stated this)(putting in my own words)humans with technology getting more and morew advanced we may well be changing like the aliens in War of the worlds. We will have whip like tenticals but have strong bodys to transport and move around. We will have less bone mass do to working out less.
Our lives will depend almost 90% on machines!
Amazing isn't it.
You can't stop change. If we get problems fixed and we can stop all this global warming buisness and come up with alternative fulls and blah blah blah....
I'm boring you now. But you can't tell us to go outside and have fun when times are changing and kids work out less and play video games. I may live to see the first man on mars and people living on the moon.
We will one day if the human race makes it to leave this planet. You do relize that if we make it to a planet say it's 100 light years away..
The human race would adapt and change in space and become just like the aliens in the war of the worlds...
Going outside and having fun....yes that still goes on but one day kids will do more video games and what not. I mean i'm on the computer more than I go outside..
Oh and duh!
Yes reading...that still happens. I bet you can tell I read a lot if I read war of the worlds..

Wow, you do a lot there for reading. But you do have a point, however will it really happen? That is a mystery. But for now...

This summer, my parents are making me go outside in order to play how I want, so I will have to get outside by force. Which is good for me, and while I don't exactly like it, I do agree with it. So I will be following what the OP says.

He's not trying to tell you how to live your life, he's giving advice and there's nothing wrong with that!

Would you rather be a large lump sitting on the couch all day, finding it hard just to move or would you like to be fit? My biggest pet peeve is somebody that does nothing at ALL. NO activities, no small job, they just sit and do absolutely nothing. How can you stand not going outside and enjoying the warm sun on your face or the delightful breeze? It's just an opinion, not a command, I just think more people should stop sitting on the computer for 13 hours straight and get out there and start being active. Once in a while is okay, but when your sitting around all the time, it's not just you you're hurting. If you eventually become overweight, many diseases come from that. It's not a matter of, "Stop running my life!" or "Get out there and do something!", the OP's just giving a little advice and advice can't hurt.

This thread really made me laugh, because who are you to know if all they do is toontown? My friend plays toontown atleast 6 hours a day if not more, and hangs out with his friends so much, you just don't know.

Now, there's just situations you don't know of, like homeschoolers, they have very few friends, and if they do have alot of friends, they can play Toontown and still be with they're friends.

I mean come on, what's the big deal with playing 6 hours, and hanging outwith your friends for a while, besides, not everyone does that, like me, I don't play Toontown too much, just a decent amount. So what, now I'm supposed to...Stop playing Toontown? No, I am not going to because you told me to. And by the time "Guessing your a teen" your 21, I doubt you will be playing/it will be up.

Chill out, and your right, enjoy your life. In every way you can.

I agree, that's actually what I was trying to say to the guy that was implying that I had no life.

Anyway, I don't think the OP is trying to tell anyone to quit Toontown. It seems to me like he's just saying don't sit on the computer all day when you could be out with your friends. There are A LOT of people that sit in their houses all day, and don't do anything, which really is dumb, even if you are having fun on the computer. It's not healthy to sit at home all day and be lazy.

It's funny when I hear my dad, aunts, uncles and grandparents tell me about how the only way the could have fun back in day was by leaving the house; so they went out and did all kinds of fun things that I, honestly, have either never done, or don't do often. Now days we have all types of games, and great T.V. shows, so people will avoid leaving their house if they can, because of that... Hence, the reason our country gets fatter and fatter, and less healthy every year. Technology is great, but it can also be a killer in a way.

Yes, but I think a trick is to do both.

Sometimes force yourself to do the heathly choice, but it will be good for you.

Off topic: I know, they keep talking about how they had so much fun but the only way they could do it, was to go out.

Great post! I actually make my kids go outside everyday, as long as the weather is nice, because I don't like them just playing computer games all day.

It isn't uncommon for them to whine about having to go outside, but then they have so much fun with whatever activity that they start playing while they are out, that I can't get them to come in.

it's been going on for a long time now ...

Mis-spent childhood is a long phenomena in our history. There are many letters written in the 1800's of parents complaining to their relatives/friends of their kids partying all the time and not taking their studies or house work seriously.

This thread is pretty cool. You don't have to agree with it and playing toontown may not have catostrophic implications on your life - but for most "wasting" their time on tt, they'ld be "wasting" it on something else.

The real question is ... what do you want to do with your life? Only you can answer and only you can judge ... the opinions/perceptions of others have limited value.

Talking

Really all our lives are so different with different circumstances etc. that advice can't always be taken or given in a ''one size fits all'' deal. This post is probably great for some people but doesn't fit others.

In our house the the ages range from <young to teenager> who play toontown. Our weight also ranges from skinny to fat. None of us spend hours on the computer everyday and we all have fun outside we live far away from cities so we do allot of playing outside not so much hanging out with friends/going out. At the moment anyways but that has more to do with transportations, funds etc.

I think its kinda interesting how so many people are bringing in weight to this thread and so many people are defensive about being ''thought'' to be fat by people they don't even know on the Internet! Wow, Just an observation.

I know fat people (who are actual people/humans who are not disgusting, lazy, useless, slobs) amazing huh? And they don't spend much time on the computer at all and there are others that do. I also know skinny people who spend almost 24/7 on the computer and others that don't.

Everyone knows that exercise is good for you and that sitting in one place for hours (especially playing not particularly educational computer games) isn't the best but that goes for anyone at any age! lol

When I'm 60, I'm still going to be making great memories, having fun and I also don't plan on being crippled!! And I'll probably still be playing toontown sometimes. If its still around cause its a fun game during computer time. lol

Like someone already said, its about having a balance. Spending your time wisely but we all get to make our own choices and I think that rocks!....Ofcourse for us and some others our parents still have a say in it lol but thats cool to.
