To stop the agruement.....

I know some people are argue the meaning of noob and newb, well to stop the argue, here are the meanings:

n00b: Someone who has very bad grammar/spelling, doesn't know much. Untop of being a newb.

Newb: A newb person to whatever you are doing, playing a game, forum, whatever it is.

Noob: A annoying toon, a griefer, and toon who makes toons go sad (Ruins plans) on purpose.

Ok,n00b means alot while NEWB means 1 thing only.

It means many things, but I don't think we should use either term since we've all been at that stage in our Toon's level(s) and our lives. So, my opinion on this is, we shouldn't use either.

But, it's not me to say to stop toons from saying that.

I agree.

Most of these terms, in any case, are offensive to most users. I would be offended even if I was called a "newb." It's pretty ill-moral to call people names judging them on their present level in the game. I'm sure you wouldn't have appreciated it when you were at that level, but once you become 100+ you suddenly have the right to call people names all of a sudden? I don't think so.

Unless they earned the title willingly, and even then I don't use it, I usually refrain from using those words.

Wrong grammar and spelling can't be considered as a noob. English is not the only language in the world. Toontown is known worldwide as well as TTC. For some users, english is their second language you can't judge people by their spelling and grammar.

For users wo speak english as their mother language, sometimes people can make a mistake due to many reasons. Why do you have to be so hard on them?

I know that bad grammar and bad spelling can be annoying sometimes but as long as people can understand it, there shouldn't be any problem.

Noob is an offensive word for me so I disagree to call people who have bad grammar and spelling Noob.

A newb is somebody new to the game.

A noob is a person who isn't being nice.

Oh geezy peezy you guys! Do you want to know the true meaning of those words? It's whatever the person who uses them intends them to be. When I first started playing TT, I had a kid SF who used to call me a noob all the time, whenever I would make one of those "beginner" mistakes. But I never took offense at that, because I knew none was intended on his part.

You know the true way to stop the argument? Agree that people have different definitions/views and accept them.
