ToonTown uses an active chat filter. Here is how it works. If you type something the filter does not allow, that chat phrase is blocked by the servers from being transmitted back to your friends computers. So you will see what you typed but they won't. When this happens, this blocked phrase is "attached" to your account and a flag gets raised to get the attention of a "censor". They then review what you typed and everything you typed before and after the flag was raised. If, in their judgement, you have violated the standards you agreed to meet when you set up your account, they can and will suspend you. So, if you type something to your friends and they do not respond that is a clue you have stepped over the bounds. So, if you suspect this has happened, ask your friends if your last comment came through WITHOUT repeating it. If so, immediately cease trying to get across what you were saying. They often block numbers since phone numbers are blocked. So if you are trying to tell someone how many bux you still need, it is often blocked. It won't get you suspended but it will certainly draw the attention of the censors and that is the kind of attention you DO NOT WANT.

Edit: Also, abbriviating words is a way to get around the suspension, but try not to make it a habit.

how unpredictable the "censors" can be. Nice guide though, I like how it covers the basics.

I usually use "ah pasta!" as a bad word replacement, lol.

If you have not violated any rules, then there is nothing to worry.
We (a group of sfs) often tell each other how many buks/merits/notices we need and then we decide where to go, or what we do first according to the group needs. If what you said is true, then we are all in BIG trouble.
What can we say, then? I need a lot? how much is "a lot"? I am halfway, but more than half of what ammount?, almost there? a fac will do?

I can see your point in people passing info that way, which I agree-you should not give personal information-BUT what most people try to do is coordinate an strategic system to help everyone go VP, CFO, CJ, CEO.

No, you misread my post. You will not get banned just for typing numbers (unless it really is a phone number), but sometimes those numbers are blocked by the autocensor and your friends don't see them, sometimes they aren't blocked. I am sure you have sometimes wondered why they didn't seem to get what you typed. If it seems that stuff is getting blocked just be extra careful since the censors will probably look at what you typed. Try typing 'on the phone' sometime to a TF and see if it gets through.
