this doesn't help much, but ...
I'm not a gamer in any sense of the word ( except for mastering Donkey Kong in the 80's and playing some Madden Football in the 90's ). But, being the proactive parent that I am ( hee, hee ), I taught my son how to use the computer ( a weakness he inherits from his father having no interest in soccer or sports whatsoever ) at a young age. Will ( 5 years old now ) loves playing games on the computer and one day about 4 months ago we saw a commercial for toontown on the Disney channel. So from there we signed up and I had to learn to play so I could teach him ( he can't read yet ). Needless to say, the game has helped him learn to read and whatnot, but now I'm addicted. In the last 4 months, there may have been 5 days I haven't played at all and a few of those days I played all day long! It's crazy, I know. Will has more interest in Pirates of the Carribean now, but I still like toontown more - I'm not much interested in skill games and pirates is a little more along that line of game. I love the logic of toontown, tasty stuff! It's far superior to chess given the social aspect of it and its seemingly random logic ( toontown programmers put their thinking caps on for this one! ).
Anyways, I digress - so the "hook" for getting your parents to play is to ask for help. Given your age, that's hard to do - sorry, you were born at the wrong time. Now is the time to strike if you're a 6 or 7 year old reading this. Tell them it's too hard or something, your parent(s) will be pressured into learning it to teach you and then you'll be faced with the opposite problem of your parent(s) not letting you use the computer due to it cutting into their game time. You asked how to get them addicted, the better answer is don't! You'll lose precious game time yourself. Better to get your friends addicted instead, they have their own computers and connections. |

Have them help you make a toon but let them design it and name it so its theirs I know by experience there is something about having your own toon that reflects your likes and personality that gets you to fall in love with them and want to work them....

You can say "No, you don't want to play it. It's "pointless" after they get "addicted".. unless you don't think that'll work.

I wouldn't want my parents addicted to Toontown because I'm selfish and wouldn't want to share my account. :P

I'm a parent and Addicted my poor daughter gets little or no toontown time because both me and her dad play far too much...
We have to buy a third computer so she can play. UGH Not sure you want them addicted but that is entirely up to you! Why not do something like get good grades and ask for a TT card from Target or Walmart. That can be xmas gifts or birthday gifts. Tell them it is cheaper for you to play TT this summer then anything else you might want to do. Hee hee Good luck
