i go an email from disney today and they got my characters back. all they could say was sorry for deleting them.. i got my characters back so that was fine... BUT! i went to my estate and everything i bought for the estate was gone and my doodle was gone.. so all the time spent trying to max jump and backflip is gone... i even lost garden. when i look in the book the shovel icon is gone.. You know what I think...
I think Disney is just so selfish, I mean they make you put your password,
and call them, and wait unbelievable amount of times just to get a response! Then what do most of us get? NOTHING! Maybe it's time for Disney to admit they are so selfish. My son erased my toon, and I was able to get it restored. One thing I noticed was that I no longer had the gardening kit. When I bought the kit again, my shovel and water skills were at the same as before. So going by that, you should be able to get it back as soon as you buy the gardening kit again.

oh cool. i was afraid of buying the kit again cause I thought I would have to restart again.. im still waiting for an email from them.. takes forever! =(
Another thing thats kinda annoying is, but I can live with.. all my characters are in different houses then before... so my main character that lived beside the fishing pond at my estate is now living near the wheel barrel =( oh well... so when disney restored my characters they put them in different places.... |

Banned/Suspended
My brother has a sf that he was discussing locations with and the following day (yesterday) he could not log on to his account. Checking his email he found an email from Disney saying he was suspended for 72 hours. He wanted me to post here to see if anyone has ever been banned due to retaliation. A couple days before this happened he wrote Disney discussing his inability to play at the CEO. He received a response from Disney but the following day he was suspended. Now because he has been suspended and the sf has only been warned he is feeling this is due to retaliation from Disney. They both had discussed the name of a river close by and the name of a beach and his response was that is only a mile from where I live. He wants to know if this has happened to anyone else?

I never expected to find that I've been suspended but this is now the case for me.
I've worked for many hours to get a good 106 laff toon almost fully maxxed. I took leave from work yesterday just to work on a gag. I got up this morning to log on but before I did that I checked my e-mails and found the message stating that I'd been suspended. Last night, I was sat with my son in front of my PC and I was making my toon say '<sonsname> is smelly'. I did it several times and we were amused by the toon saying this. No other toon could see what mine was saying !! I don't know why they would say that this was 'inappropriate language' but now I'm suspended. This seems very harsh. They let any toon abuse any other toon in full public view with 'You Stink!' selected from the Stinky list. I've chatted with SFs and we've used real names. Why have they suspended me ? Is there any point in me calling their help desk today ? Thanks |

Actually they do not inform you any more what the reason was why you've been set on administrative hold, which I find really strange.
In order to get informed about the reason you need to tell them that you want to know it. Send a mail to Toontown@disneyonline.com and ask for the reason. Don't forget to provide these three things in your mail:

If you forgot the correct username you can request it again here by just providing the email address that is associated with the account. Another toll free number is 877.466.6669. The support cannot tell you the answer why you've been suspended but they can help you with your account and give you information about the birth date stored in the account or change the email that has been set for the member for instance if you have forgotten about it or want changed. You need to provide other information however to prove you are the real owner. Thanks for the prompt and comprehensive reply. However, in my case they did include what they didn't like. It started 'We are writing to inform you that inappropriate language has been found within a chat log attached to your account, shown below:' and then they listed the phrases.
Why would they not like what I said ? Do they ever change their mind and reinstate an account sooner ? |

Yes, I have been using a UK account but I can see no reason why anyone would have complained about me. I don't even stink other toons because I see Toontown as a place where it's meant to be fun and pleasant for all present.
That is exactly what I saw in my e-mail - a long list of the 'offending' comments with the other text as well. My toon was repeating the phrase on his own and we thought that it was really funny. Maybe they scan text logs for phrases that are repeated quickly to detect people who park their toons ? If that's the case then they have the wrong man.
