How Do You Handle The Toon That Will Not Take No For An Answer When They Ask You To Be Their Friend?

I Try To Be Nice And Say "sorry I Can't", And I End With A "thanks", But Some Toons Just Dont Understand That You Have No More Room For Them On Your Buddy List. I Really Try To Be Nice Cause My Daughter Is One Of Those Annoying Toons... She Is Six And Her Whole Goal On Toontown Is To Make Friends And When She Has Maxed Her Limit On Friends She Deletes Some And Starts Over...so For That Reason I Really Try To Be Nice...and When I Am With A Friend And That Friend Stinks Them And Tell Them To "Please Leave" My Heart Aches Alittle And I Tell My Friend "dont Be Mean" Then Proceed With My Usual Responses To The Asking Toon. If Im In A Building With The Asking Toon I Make A Point To Give Nice Comments To Them Throughout The Building But Still Say No The Being Friends. I Really Hate Being In The Sutuation And Will Now Apologize Ahead Of Time For My Daughter Asking One Of Ya'll

I do the same thing cause i dont want to be mean so i say "sorry i cant".

If I'm in a good mood, I say "Sorry I can't."
If I'm sick and tired of noobs bugging me to be their friend and just want the little pest to leave me alone, I say "No!!!"

40% of the time I am already upset enough and just leave
55% of the time I'll say sorry I can't and then ignore them, until they leave!
5% of the time I will scream NO!!, you stink, please go away!! (this is if they don't leave me alone)

Sorry but I've had it up to hear with some of these people wanting to be my SF just becuase I have a high laff, or the people who think their laff is so awesome, they just laugh at me, even when they are only like 2 laff points ahead of me!

Ussually, I whisper "Sorry, I can't." If they keep bugging me I'll ignore but if they are really nice about it sometimes I friend them.

i keep friend requests turned off so i don't have to say no. if they whisper and ask to be my friend, i tp out of that district or playground as fast as i can. :P

Well, there are many ways you could handle this situation and I'm glad you handled it this way because other was can get into bad speedchat conversations between Toontown toons. You are saying (as I believe) the correct things to toons about your toon not having enough friend spaces. Some toons out there just do not understand how far the toon friends list goes up to until they experience it themselves. And, I bet it's mostly toons from 15 to 50 in laff that are asking you to be their friends.

I'd stick to your solution of the problem because that's the better toon's way of handling things I believe.

If I actually see the request, I usually friend anyone who asks, especially if they appear to be doing their "go make a friend" task in Central, or are obviously a child.

The other side of the coin is that I regularly winnow my friend list down to only to what seems to be like-minded adults and family members; and, no, I never drop somebody from the list when they are logged-in, as this could potentially give a child the wrong message about themselves.

I say "Sorry I can't" or "No Thank You" because some of the little toons I don't even though want to be my friend.I think they like me for my gags and laff lol.But I don't want them to think that high laffs are mean to low laffs.

It's worse when your friends list isn't full but you still don't want to be their friend and you forgot to turn off incoming friend requests when you log on. I'm guessing when you have too many friends on your list the other person gets a message saying that you do. But when I do have room on my list I feel bad but I still most of the time dont' want to be their friend b/c A. usually the people who go around randomly asking for friendships are the really annoying ones who don't play well and who will continue to bug you and B. since I am high laff these people are usually very low laff. It's not necisarily that I have anything against them personally but it's just that we won't be working on the same things in the game and I don't feel like spending my whole life not getting done what I need to get done so that I can help someone I don't even know.

If my list is full, they still ask, but I say Sorry, I can't and sometimes even throw in a sad face so that they know I really can't.

If my list isn't full, I turn it off as soon as I log in. I still say Sorry, I can't.

If I think my list is full and find out that it wasn't when someone tries to friend me, I will either friend them and give them a chance (only deleting them when they are offline if it isn't working out), or I just TP away to somewhere else.

There are times that the list is full and someone will keep hammering me about it. If I have already said Sorry I cant a few times and we are in a building or factory, etc, I just ignore them the rest of the time.

If they seem nice and I have a space, I might be their friend, but most of the time I say, "Sorry, I can't."

my list is full so i hope them seeing that stops them but if they insist by asking outloud or whispering i say sorry i cant i usually if i have time throw in a shrug and ur awesome and if they are a baby toon and i have them i always try to throw them jbs!! That makes their day

All I say is "Sorry, I can't", and they would usually say"OK". If they bother me, I would just ignore them. And if they ignore me, I would just go into the BBHQ courtyard.
