I tend to ignore them if it's a random toon in a playground that just wants to be your friend cause you happen to have a high laff. If I keep getting whispers, I'll then say 'Sorry, I can't'
If it becomes too much, switch districts or go to your estate/other playground.

Seems to have been covered pretty well already... as for myself, I give a sorry I can't (almost always have my friends request off) followed by a shrug and/or sorry.

On a side note, after going through the agony of delete sessions on my main toon I have become very selective on my others. When I first starting playing I would friend just about anyone because it feels good to help someone and make them feel special. But those mass delete sessions can be stressful trying to remember who is who and so on.

Now as a rule I will never accept a random request. If I haven't played with you I'm not going to be your friend.

Yes, well, it's msotly that laff point group that do just that.

I think your talking about the ''toons of the world spend wisely'' when a ton says that it gives toons around him/her jelly beans. Its a reward for winning against the CFO. I haven't gotten one yet but I think that's how that works.

I think what you are doing & what everyone else said is great. I would just tell them your sorry & all that and if they keep on buggng you then ignore them/move on. Basically the same thing thats already been said. I also think it is great how you think about how it might be a younger kid! In our ages range from 3-18 that play TT.

Im not the type of person to get bothered too much, I just usually say 'sorry I can't' and accept them, when they go offline, delete them. If they keep annoying me that is, sounds mean but its the only way to get them to shhh.

When you say NO, NO THANK YOU or SORRY, I CAN'T and the toon who wants to be a friend starts getting in your face and abusive with the YOU STINK, etc.

I ignore them.

I do not like fishing and have everyone in your face. I'm 77 laff and the baby toons swarm you like you were honey. It's annoying.

I just keep on with my task though. If it gets really bad....I go someplace else.

I win the jbs as unites in cfo as a matter of fact it seems its all i win lately i always have tons on me!! Read up on cash fighting the cfo you win rewards called unites of various things you can throw from gags to tu to jbs tu is what everyone wants cause u can heal someone around you and yourself but of course i always win like squirt and jbs so since i dont need jbs i give them to the baby toons....

Well that's nice. Just kidding. I've done that before, too. Most of the time I say "Sorry, I can't." like you do. And surprisingly, they leave me alone. Amazing, huh? I guess they think that I can't have any more friends on my list and they just scamper off to the nearest person in the playground and start asking them. When I turn around I see them talking to some other big laffer begging them: "Please be my friend!" ":-(" It's hilarious!

I keep my friends list turned off, so I know that when they ask they already know I do not wish to be friended and they, obviously, have no respect for my wish to be left in peace!

I try to be nice with the "Sorry I can't" routine. If that doesn't work right away, I try ignoring them to see if they'll get the hint and leave me alone as I go about my business.

If they still keep asking, I'll finally say more to the point, "Thanks, but no thanks" and hope they finally get it.

For those Very Rare occasions when it's to the point where they're stalking you and being really mean and stinky, I'll just say flat out, "I'm busy." I hate when I have to do that, but some toons seem to insist. And when it's to the point where they are being that rude, I don't feel all that bad about it, either.
