I'm chuckling inside because you made me remember ..
Once, a VERY respectable neighbor came to my door, just like you said, unannounced.
Well my neighbor is into politics and she was collecting signatures and talking bla bla bla.
I sat her in the living room and told her: "I'll be right back, make yourself comfortable" Then I went back to my toontask.

I forgot about her.....

Poor lady..I totally, totally forgot about her.
In the end I not only had to sign her petitions, but also got involved into getting signatures for her. Oh well.

OH i have another one, and this one is good.
I swear it is true..
I used to live in a big city, and if you ever lived in NY you know that on certain days
there is alternating parking on the streets, for city cleaning.
Well it was winter and I had to parallel park my car from 9 to 11 AM tuesdays and thursdays.
Guess what? I put the kitchen alarm on top of my computer and I started playing toontown, right?
---Later I hear the gentle Beep Beep Beep, and I ask myself:
"What was that for??Oh well, must have been low batteries or something.."
Oh boy! Car horns blasting, people yelling, my neightbors calling me, (they recognized my car)
I went running outside in my fluffy slippers, hair a mess, mickey mouse t-shirt, etc..I'm like what? WHAT? Where is the fire?!!
lol, I was lucky i didn't get a ticked.

well thanks and i hope you feel better (mood is sick)..

my daughter (who is six) has also learned the same trick..... (examples) stay up alittle later, have another snack, play in mommy's room, put on some lipstick, oh and her favorite... answer the phone ( which she isnt allowed to do cause she runs to her room and will talk to the person who calls for 20 minutes before i even know a call had come in)

thanks for responding

My mother is the manager of our apartment complex, and I'm the assistant manager. When Mom's out running errands, I'm in charge of taking care of office business while she's gone. "Office business" usually consists of answering the phone, handing out mail to the tenants who come looking for it, and answering questions of people off the street looking to rent an apartment. And, of course, the computer where I play TT is kept in the office.

I often have to tell the mail-collecting tenants to hold on a minute while I finish a battle. If someone comes in wanting to ask about apartments while I'm in a building or HQ, I tell them "Sorry, no vacancies, check back next week," even if we *do* have vacancies. And GOD FORBID that phone ring while I'm battling, because all they can get out of me is "Uh... um... Sorry, what did you say?," because all my focus is on the computer. XD!

LOL!

One time I was in a CJ, and my Grandma told me to come have breakfast, and I told her one minute, which turned into an hour. The CJ went for an hour and a half!

Parents!

...Oh don't tell me you don't make your parents wait while your doing toontown.

And I'm honest about it! I tell them I'm in the middle of a battle, and that I'll come when I'm done.

5 minutes later, more cogs are coming, and they ask again, and I still tell them the same thing.

And of course, they ask if I started a new battle.

And when I'm done, the chore is done anyways, and they blame me.

Have I meantioned I'm starting to like my parents less?
