I wish people would STOP complaining about the new access for free accounts. I have a free account but I am going to pay.

Here is what they can only do:
~Own one toon (we used to have two!)
~Only street battles in Non-TTC areas (which is barely anything! They can't even go in non-TTC buildings, even gag shops/trolleys/HQs/doodle shops!)
~Only TTC tasks
~No access to bosses, factory/mints/DA/cog golf
~No golfing
~TTC-only fishing
~No gardening
~Only practice races
~No SFs
~Only up to level 5 gags
~No cattelog-buying AT ALL
~Not sure about Doodles, but only TTC because you cannot go into non-TTC buildings. TTC Doodles get tired easily and I've never seen mine do tricks in battle.

So you guys shouldn't be complaining.

You can't go everywhere with a free-account on the moment. When I joined for the first time, I did the 3-day free-trial too. A few months later I bought the game in the store and I received a two months membership. When this membership has expired, I couldn't go anywhere in the game, except Toontown Central. But now I'm a monthy paying member and just go on with the story.

The new free ppl can go into other playgrounds but they CANNOT go into cog buildings or into cog hq's. Like they can go into them but they cannot actually get on any elevators that lead to mints, or sb factories or da's ect. Also they cannot fish, ride the trolly, or enter gag or doodle shops in any pg other than TTC. So yes, they may annoy you on the streets during street fights but when you go anywhere else like a building or an HQ or even a gag shop they can't bug you.

That doesn't sound like they are doing very much since half that list is things toons on free accounts can't do. But, you free account users are lucky to go a bit further into Toontown than Toontown Central playground.

I agree. But you cant even get the level 5 gag - you can earn all the skill points for it but no gag. I wish I could be a member

I actually bought toontown because I couldn't go past ttc. I really wanted to explore the other playgrounds and get my gags higher. Unfortunately, I didn't know I could upgrade my free trial toon so I ended up making a new toon when I bought account. Thank god though because I chose toon up on that first toon :P

I think this situation only helps me, a 109 laffer with limited access (temporarily until summer). being stuck in TTC is quite annoying as a high laffer. at least now I can do alot more stuff!

Free Access expansion has only happened to Toontown US (I think) because I checked FREE vs VIP on our UK website and it seems, nothing has changed!

Yay! So only Toontown US has more free access.

Free accounts still have 2 toons. They cant go into any buildings outside TTC. I think its nice the newbies can go anywhere now.

From what I've read, a free trial player can only have access to the bottom middle slot if there is already a toon there. One can't be created in that spot.

Also, free trial players are not only barred from the cattlelog entirely, they can't even take gifts out of their mailbox.

I think part of the OP point was noobs in the playgrounds... yes its nice that now anyone can explore and see all of the map (if not all the battles) but in crowded districts I can very rarely go to TTC for a quick gag up without seeing someone stinking someone else. I wouldn't bet on free access expansion meaning that every playground is a stinkfest but on the other hand I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot more of it now. I can see part of his point here. Nobody is trying to say freebies ALL stink but I would imagine that if you pay attention now that we have different nametags, many of the stinkers with 15 laff are freebies.
