Low Laff Toons Paralyzed with Fear

This happens to me so often, today included. A toon (for whatever reason) finds themselves in a battle with a small number of laff points, say less than 20. They then proceed to ask for a toonup (I need more laff points, Let's use Toon-up, etc.) over and over. What they forget to do is... choose a gag! Over and over they pass and pass, or if they do anything, they call on their doodle.

I know you are staring sadness in the face and everything, but really, your pies and squirts are still useful! The other toons most likely know of your (and their) predicament, and are trying to save the situation. Sometimes for survivals sake, you need to deal with the cogs in hand otherwise the toon-up would just be met with more attacks from the cogs. Keep in mind, though those with high lp's may be your best bet for a toon-up, but are also most likely to have the gags that can save you besides toon-ups such as birthday cakes or hypno-goggles. Also, lured cogs do not stay lured forever, and your help may be needed to make those cogs go away before they wake up! Keep in mind also, that not every toon has the ability to toon-up or have toon-up unites. Keep fighting! Watch your fellow toons, follow the high lp and match his throws and squirts and help get rid of the cogs. Passing and doodling does NOT help.

If the toon was like 20/100 laff, I guess they just wanted you to toon them up. It's what I do. I don't feel like running around and finding TUs, so I get someone to toon me up. I help kill the cog though, so eh.

It usually happens while battling the VP. Sometimes in buildings or mints as well. I'm referring to toons who suddenly stop contributing until they get tooned up.

Do you honestly think if they are so young they forget to pick a gag they would be reading these forums and taking your advice lol?

Not really. Just venting, and looking for sympathy.

I'm also not convinced they are all young.

I think alot of them do it to get their doodles up without caring about anyone else in the fight.

Very annoying they could go to their estate and get them up much faster.

You're right, TU should not be used unless the team does something to stop the cogs from attacking (defeating, luring, etc.) If they are awake, they will just attack again and it goes on forever.

Lightbulb I have a few words myself...

Wow! This was very well put. I enjoyed reading from top to bottom.

Being me, as a 109 working solely on VPs, I encounter this way too often in factories, VPs, buildings, and in some street battles. I find this annoying - no, extremely tiring. I do my best to keep the group alive, and pity me, because I am the only one with lure. If I lure, and you at least use your beautiful pie with his b-day, I think it will come out to a better conclusion.

I am well aware of them being 30/50. I am more aware than you think. However, these toons have more of a chance going sad it I toon-up them than me luring.

I get sick of them asking for a toon-up so much. They could have destroyed the lvl 12 with the other guy instead of letting it hit the whole team...making us take another whole blow because of you not picking a gag. Please! Just pick your gag then ask. I know when you are low on laffpoints, I am not blind. I am experienced enough to know well enough when you need a toon-up and when the best time to toon-up you is. This is benefiting the whole TEAM. Not just you.

I'd enjoy it if you picked your gag and got it over with. Best to go sad with dignity than in despair.

I know what you're saying!! I'm in DD and several of my tasks were to help the newbies (hubby and I call them AFFECTIONATELY "the babies" and to help hubby out...cuz he is only 38 and forgets the names of the playgrounds, I call it "Babyland"

I was able to buy "DON'T WORRY" in the Cattelog. I use it ALL THE TIME!! I hope the new toons understand, if they are playing with me, I will take care of THEM to the best of my ability. I do NOT use a high power gag just to get done with the battle. If I have tune-up....I take care of them as soon as I can.

The little guys try as hard as they can I feel and I want to help them. Just call me "Aunt Patty" .... hahahahahaha !!!!

I had this happen to me I the SB Factory yesterday. It was so frustrating and ultimately cost 2 of the other players, since Cogs go after the toons that cause them the most damage. Having just begun Tune Up I could not save them.

** I was totally shocked to be left to face the Factory Foreman alone...at least one of us won the battle.
