Well, considering that this is a G-Rated game, I think that it's the safest way to go. I'm sure many people would swear in the game and so on. I feel that since this is a G-Rated game, it fits right in.

Well if your under 13 and want to swap a code, always check how a person talks. For example. Someone is being rude and swearing or cussing in their talk. You decide that theyre not right for being your true friend. But if there nice and treat you in a good way, you may. But always remember to ask a parent before giving a code to someone you dont know.

I do find it annoying. Yes it's a g rated game and children should absolutely be protected. But there are still ways to have safe open chat. Like even now if your sfs with someone and they swear it does not appear on your screen. It's like they said nothing. And if you swear it does not appear on their screen. All those words are auto blocked. So they could also have things like locations auto blocked and just certain buzz words that you cannot say. It would be just as safe but it would be SOO much easier to get your point across. When you aren't sfs with people it's harder to stratagize with the team and it's hard to let people know if you just have to leave for a second or let them know why it is that you cannot help them at a particular time. Like I watched my little niece play club penguin a while back and it seems to me that open chat is allowed there.. as far as I can remember anyway. SO why not on tt? Club penguin is geared completely at little kids.

I agree. Who knows who's out there. But, since the Walt Disney Company (owners of the game, as we all know) cares about the safety of it's coustomers, (us) there are right to make a secure system to keep us safe in a safe, online enviorment for us to use the game. If it was just a normal chatting game, the game would go straight up from G-Rated to M-Rated and would not be safe for it's veiwers, (children mostly, us) so it wouldn't be safe point blank. Secret friendships in the game are for toons you really know well, even if it's over the internet, you know them in a way that you are both not strangers to each other.

To cut to the chase, they are right to keep us safe online,
Treehouse

Talking

I feel kinda fun finding the right phrase on the speed chat. It's much more fun than open chat that I rarely SF anyone.

SpeedChat is also good for little kids. Since they don't really know how to form the sentence of even phrase yet, speedchat will be very useful for them to communicate with others.

It also keeps those kids safe from revealing any of their personal information. As you can see from other games that peope always complain about their accounts get hacked. Actually it's becase they tell their passwords to their friend who they think the best friend ever even though they only know them from the game.

I think It works atleast with my cousin's parents.

Your right, and sometimes you can open chat by using the first letter of the word and combine them and make a sentece!

I don't mind having limited chat with non sfs because there are quite a few people I don't want reading what I'm saying, however, I do wish they wouldn't filter what is being said between sfs. I say so many things that always get me suspended that never did before, its between me and my sfs... if they're okay with it, why cant I use em? Toontown can be safe but fun, too. I don't like how you're not allowed to chat with randoms and then when you have the chance to sf chat you have to watch your every move.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense. Why block and suspend you when chatting to your friends, when it's just friends and they may not exactly care? I know it's keeping safe, but still...

And yeah, I was okay with it before I started to sf chat myself. It doesn't bother me unless they're trying to bug you or taking up room on the screen.

I thought it was fun before I new about sf cha. I don't know why but it made the game harder(a little). SF chatting is more fun than for temwork I guess. Toontown has almost all the right phrases to get along in the game 100%.
Phrases that could be added i'd say would be...
Sorry i'm in a cog boss battle!
An AFK one to say your gone
I'm going to use sound.
i'm going to use toon-up.
The last two aren't in the game but should be because I see people say lets use sound but no toon-up just I need a toon-up, and lets use toon-up.
I think before I knew about sf chat it was fun though...
