I'll assume you mean that you were hoping that you could level the gags (Drop and Lure) faster, once you got to Level 5. Then you found out that you only get three level 5 gags (and it's similar when you reach level 6. You only get three level 6 gags and seven level 5 gags). One way to build experience quickly find another toon who has similar needs and either camp five-story buildings on Walrus Way and Sleet Street in The Brrrgh, or go run Sellbot Factories. It won't work as well with randoms, as most of those don't want to train gags. Two toons with Level 6 Throw/Squirt, and with Level 4 Toonup and Lure can do either of these without any problems, once they get the hang of it. More than two toons means less experience for each, as the cogs will die faster. The idea in buildings is to save the gags you're training for the fourth (2.5x experience) and fifth (3x experience) floors and then use as many as you can. If you want to train Lure, remember that you have to hit each cog that's lured before you can get experience for luring it again. You can't just lure a cog, wait for it to unlure, and then get experience for luring it again. It has to take damage between lures (EDIT: This isn't totally accurate, although it does work this way when only battling one cog. See my next post for how lure experience works when facing more than one cog at a time). In the Factory, you get double experience for all gags throughout the factory, and there doesn't have to be an invasion (there does have to be an invasion for you to get double Merits, though). The added plus to the Factory is that there are 35 cogs to kill, and 31 of them are level 6 and lower, which makes it relatively easy to finish them off. Also, the Factory is always there, whereas you have to find buildings that meet what you need. Last edited by Tom The Cat; 04-30-2008 at 10:10 PM. |

I went into the street, lured a cog, passed until it unlured, lured it again, and then destroyed it. I got credit for one lure. I then lured another cog, hit it for minor damage, lured it again, and destroyed it. I got credit for two lures. For groups of lured cogs, you only have to do damage to ANY of them in order to be able to relure them and get credit. You don't have to do damage to each of them. In other words, you can lure two cogs, destroy one, pass until the other one unlures, lure it, and destroy it for two lure credits. To verify this, I went into a one-story building, destroyed the first cog (without luring), then lured the two cogs that came out for the second wave. I destroyed one, then passed until the other was unlured, lured that cog again, then destroyed it. I got credit for two lures, even though the second cog was never hit for damage between lures. |

I think the op may be referring to the changes today for guest accounts. Yesterday you could only go to TTC, but you could continue to gain experience points on gag tracks you had started.
As of today, experience points max out at 2000 for all tracks. I'm guessing they don't take away gags you've already earned, but you can't max out tracks you have started anymore. Since guests can now get to all streets it would be easier to max out tracks if the 2000 limit did not exist. |

Drop is tough to max because it's at the bottom of the list and everyone gets to pick before you. Best advice is to go with friends and let them know you wanna work drop OR...pick drop before everyone else picks their gags, that way they can know what to pick and possibly give you the chance to drop. =)

I'm not sure since the post is kinda vague, but maybe the OP has a free account? There's a limit to the gags they can earn. It only goes to level 5 now. After that it says, "Past Guest Limit" and lists the number of points past the limit. I assume you keep the points if you buy a membership.
