I remember I was in Donalds Dock and the doodles in battle were released, and then some time after that, Lawbot HQ came out, probably alot of people remember When Law HQ was released....

But my question is are there any toons out there that have been playing for a Very Long Time?
Yes! I have also been playing for many years! I remember when Cashbot HQ came out! And when doodles came out. Before racing, golfing, fish bingo, and trolley tracks! Oh those were the good ol days! Haha!

Lol. He joined like a year and a month ago. Notice the 07. His toons are like 126 and 116. That's pretty good. Must have a lot of time on his hands.

I've had my account for 4 years but I didn't play for almost 2 of them. LOL But I'm still around. I never knew about the laff points from HQ's and stuff like that, that's why I sat at 106 laff for the longest time! Hahahaha, silly me. I should be maxed by now but I'm only 124.

My kids and I started in November 2003, about a month before the first Cog HQ was released. We don't play every day -- in fact, we sometimes take a few months off to play other games -- but we've never deleted our account and we still have our original toons.

Thought you guys would like to see this. I was in the first beta. It ended (i believe) around March or April of 2002. Then there was an approximately four month downtime. On September 12, 2002 I received this email and was SOOO happy. Here it is verbatim.

The wait is finally over! We're ready to start the second official beta test of Toontown Online, so grab your pies and get ready to hit the streets of Disney's Toontown Online.
If you would like to participate in this test, please reply to this e-mail. To help us streamline account creation, please refrain from including questions or comments in your response.

We will be admitting beta testers gradually on a first-come first-served basis over the next few weeks. When you have been selected, you will receive another e-mail with a new account name, password, and instructions on how to get started. Unlike the first beta test, this will be a closed test, which means to play you must receive an account from us.

You can see what's new since the last beta test by clicking here:
http://test.toontown.com/news.php.

Please Do Not Reply to this message. This is a one-time only email and you will not receive any future messages from Disney's ToonTown Online. For all other inquiries, please click here.

This message was sent to: xxxxxxxx@xxxxx.com

Then, one month later, second beta was shut down. Here is that email.

The current phase of the Toontown Online beta test is coming to an
end. We will soon be disconnecting the servers at test.toontown.com
while we move on to the next phase of development. We really
appreciate all your comments, feedback, bug reports, and hard work
on the streets of Toontown.

In the coming days, we will be launching Toontown Online as a "Sneak
Preview". This will be the first time Toontown Online has ever been
offered to the general public. As part of this Sneak Preview, the
initial offer to the general public will be a discounted $9.95 to sign
up and play for one month, and then $5.95 per month afterwards. This
discounted pricing will only be available to charter members who
participate in the Sneak Preview.

For beta testers, we will go one better and credit the $9.95 sign-up
fee, so your first month will be completely free. If you are
interested in signing up, just go to http://www.toontown.com. We'll
be able to identify you as a beta tester by recognizing your email
address ("xxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxx.com"), so be sure and use the same
address you used during the beta test. If you're not ready to join
now, thanks for testing and hopefully, we'll see you in Toontown again
soon!

Cool, thanks. I wish I had been part of that discounted pricing. I wonder how many accounts are still active from that timeframe?

Hmm, I thought it wasn't "officially" open until June 2003.

It looks like the October date is the sneek peek. I didn't have an email about the 'official' opening, I guess. Notice that the links in this email point to test. I received this email on Oct 21, 2002.

My boys started playing some time around March 2005...not sure exactly when, but CHQ had JUST opened when we started playing. No "Doodles in Battle", no LHQ, no BHQ, no gag trees or gardening, and no level 7 gags. Wow, a lot has changed just since we've been playing (my oldest doesn't play anymore). We take breaks from Toontown every so often for either other games, or just completely break away for family stuff!
