I have been trying to train trap in TTC for a long time. Just trying to get through the first three gags real quick. Normally not a big deal... today wasn't normally.

1/3 of every time I would drop a trap, someone [usually a 100+ laffer] would come up and try and purposely kill [use drop to kill] the cog that I laid a trap on just so I won't get any experience.

What the heck are people's problems? After every time they would kill one of the cogs I had trapped I would get them shouting "Ha ha!" "Hee hee!" "What's that smell?" over and over every time. It's horrible.

Please enlighten to me why people would want to just be purposely rude to random people trying to train?

ToonTown Central is the most cut throat place to do anything in. Most toons don't know how everything works, hardly any even wait for you to come when they are battling a cog. Since you are not working tasks and just gags try Donald's Dock. Like I just said, TTC is very hard to do anything in, its very everyman for himself.

But why would people be purposely jumping into a battle when they're over 100 laff with full gags and using drop to kill only the cogs I trap?

Some toons have the task to, "Help A new toon 25 Laff and below defeat 30 cogs" or something like that. So they just want to kill the cogs, I dont think they really care to waste their time dropping on lvl one cogs unless it was a toontask.

How different toons were doing it? Odd how they all decided it was pick on the trainer day.

I agree with SkinnyBiscuit, your best bet is just to go to donalds dock and train it. The cogs there are equally as small...just alot less people there to ruin it for you.

You seem to be justifying what these animals that slightly know how to use a computer were doing.

They had no tasks, they were just destroying the cogs I trapped. Like 10 different people. After the battle, no tasks. Every time after they would destroy a cog I had trapped they would repeatedly shout "Ha ha!" "Hee hee!"...

Oh yeah, and on a less negative note. Congratulations to me for unlocking trap gag and getting up to marbles today

Change districts...or streets...or neighborhoods!

Find someone who needs to train LURE and make friends with them. You could post a request here...many have done so.

Congrats on building your trap...it is very difficult!

The why is a curiosity I've just been having. I came on here to find out.

I'm really sorry that a day that was supposed to be fun got ruined for you. I also had problems like that when I began training for my trap, but it was from the smaller toons and I simply took it as their inability to do anything else, or not knowing better.
What actually worked for me the best was to find a quiet district, no other toons and lay my traps to my heart's content. I know those districts rarely get any cog invasions, but it was still faster than wasting traps where other players would ruin them.

Choosing drop means that every gag their is goes before it. Knowning that they more than likely wont actually use thier gag.

That is not animal like, if you did something to make them mad then that is the "why" on why they would do that.

Awww hun (((hugs))) I don't know why some toons are so mean sometimes. I was waitin gfor a friend to get out of a building today and there was a toon in front of me, 65 laff, trying to train trap. I am a very nice toon. I do not purposely upset anyone. How could I make someone "mad" simply by training trap? lol. I can't even remember the last time I stinked someone.

There are a lot of mean toons out there.
I'm lucky enough to have a friend and we are both training trap. We just take it in turns, 1 lures and 1 traps and then we swap over. I'm a nice toon too and will help anyone I can
