A Life Outside of Toontown

So we all play Toontown, right? Or we have before. I hope most people on this site have...
Well a lot of us are addicted. Yes, just admit it. The first part of overcoming addiction is to admit that you are addicted. So say it right now. "I am addicted to Toontown." and if you're not-good for you. Because everyone deserves to have a life outside of Toontown.
Disney has brought into a game where it is hard to stop-hard to do anything else. Weekends are filled with Toontown and no outside activites (if possible) or mind education. Does this sound like you? Will you go as far as not joining an after-school club or something social related just to get your time on Toontown? I am sure there are some people that do this. Toontown has become our lives! It is taking over-people can you see?
Toontown is fine for a couple hours a day, but when you find yourself getting headaches, gaining weight (possible!), and/or being cooped up in the house on weekends-possibly week-nights?
And is Disney promoting this? I answer this question with a no, I don't think they mean for this to happen. It is not their problem if we play to much. But they want us to play!
So concluding my whole rant, Toontown is great for a couple hours after work/school, but can really damage the your real life. I mean, Toontown is just a game. We all know that.

Sorry if i seem like i'm flaming or if your trying to just help but i feel ofended to be told not to go on toontown for more then 3 hours by someone i don't know or have ever seen.

Are you trying to say under this that we have no lives? Thats what i see from this.
I see that we play toontown non stop and never get out and are fat.
Don't try to tell others to run their lives. People can play it as much as they want.

As you said we all know it's just a game, I'm not addicted... You can ask my sfs.. I'm never online.

FYI Some after school clubs are just not good and people don't need to go if they don't want to. I live in France and still can't speak the language so i bearly have any social time that isn't through a wire.

Ok then, your a toontown addict who can get fat very easy from all this time on toontown. Go spend time at clubs which may be stupid or very boring for you, As everyone needs to talk to people and do things when they may want to just relax at home siting down drinking hot Chocolate.

Just because some people play this game a lot doesn't mean other people don't on other games. Most people I know (I am not some geek I really do know a lot of people) to play online games or just normal video games for hours at a time. Toontown is just another game that people enjoy spending there time on.

I don't disagree, with you, some people are that addicted, but I have to say I go for every afterschool club which I like without caring about how much time I play on ToonTown. Infact, I barely ever play on weekdays, and on weekends yes, I do play long time but only on weekends where I have nothing else todo. I'll tell you, I'd MUCH rather my best friend who lives ages away came round raather than playing ToonTown. I love ToonTown, but I will never let it get in the way of of my social life! Just my 2 cents

These threads come up every so often and different ppl have different views.

Some people actually start to feel guilt associated with indoor/online activities... but you know what? Thats what some ppl want for free time. Others need to be outdoors more.

This is why when you start saying things like get a life outside of TT ppl get offended. You are trying to tell them what is right for them.

Whats right for you may not be right for me.

Games like this and games in general are a form of escapism... which is perfectly fine and healthy. Who doesn't need to get away from the daily grind of work or school every once in awhile???

For me the line of too much is when I go online instead of doing things that need to be done. If I am constantly late for work because I stay up too late playing I have crossed a line etc etc...

So in short, enjoy your time on TT but not at the expense of ignoring responsibilities.

I'm not at all addicted. I could stop whenever I wanted, really I could. I play becuase I want to, not because I'm addicted I just choose to do it. I do play it alot but I have a life... I don't play for massive hours a day but I do play it alot.

First of all, shes not telling you what to do. Shes just saying what could happen. 2ndly I agree. It doesnt happen to all of us but to some of us. Its addicting! It keeps us sitting around all day doing nothing!

BDW I have a life!
