Kids should feel left out because this is an adult clan and not a kids & adult clan. There, I said it. JMHO, please don't take offense. I feel for the kids wanting to be part of the group because we have great things happening here, but I don't think that means they should be ATTA members. That's what the KOATTA and other kid (and mixed!) clans are for. About the scrolly, I bet Batleth could make a KOATTA one. I'd also love to see a new schedule made that includes a special KOATTA and ATTA combined run. |

IMO, ATTA should what it name suggests, an ADULT clan. It doesn't matter how mature or well-known some kids may be. |

3 out of my about 7 best SFs are adults and I intend to keep it that way. No, I don't think a ton of kids should be able to join, but just a few like LR. I personally would like to be in KOATTA because I feel more layed back and relaxed with other kids, but if I want a good friend, PS, M2 and Trix are always there! lol

Now, back to ON topic. I haven't joined either clan and I have seen that they've been having a FEW problems. I think it could be resolved easy. No, I don't think you should mix a bunch of kids with a bunch of adults. Kids need to be able to talk by themselves and so do adults. However, I do think the kids should have a part. Why not have two SEPERATE groups? ATTA, and then KOATTA. The one could be for all adults the other could be for all kids. They could both have their own forum and both have their own leaders and be able to do what they want, and when they want. I still don't get why no one has done that yet. The kids can have their little scroll bar thing, the adults can have their little scroll bar thing and EVERYONE is happy, correct? IMO, if you do it this way everyone will be equal and no one could feel left out or complain. I don't know, maybe I shouldn't have a say-so but it's just a thought.. LBC |

Then the purpose of an adult forum is rendered useless. Mature or not; age is still the mitigating factor. If one minor is allowed access, then the same rules and regulations for the open forum will have to apply to the adult forum as well.
I consider my son mature for his age, but I still do not feel comfortable allowing him in an adult orientated chat room. The same feeling applies whether that minor is my child or not. I'm sorry if there are any bad feelings, but in the interest of the majority, it is the best course of action. Exceptions should not be allowed. --- I agree with McBee. ATTA is adult toontown addicts ... and, for the most part, we joined this group with the understanding that we would be meeting adults and joining in activities with adults. How often have you read someone saying they are so glad to have found other adults that play? I'm sorry that the younger crowd is feeling left out, but KOATTA was created especially for them, and they need to take the initiative to get the group up and running. Show that it's not some phase and that the group is here to stay. If they request our help, I'm sure we would do everything we could to help them initially. |

I understand there are mature kids, and I try to stick up for kids for THAT reason. HOWEVER, there should NOT be ANY exceptions. You can not take a few kids out of a bunch and say "Oh, you have a right in these forums because you're mature". That is not right, how would the other kids feel? Have an age limit for KOATTA, have an age limit for ATTA, lay out some ground rules and leave it at that. If you both want your own group and to be able to do what you want, then mixing the two is not going to help and letting ANY kids in the forums is REALLY not going to help.. LBC |

I think we need some clan guidelines that are the same for everyone.
Such as to be an ATTA member you must: Be an adult (18 yrs and older)- no exceptions To access the secret forums you must be 21 yrs and older due to the nature of some topics. (just a couple examples) There is so much grey area to this clan and all it's doing is causing more confusion. I'd like to see some rules outlined and enforced for everyone. But, who am I to say.. |

Sorry all - didn't mean to stir anything up.
I was NOT suggesting that we allow any children into the secret/adult forum. I was only suggesting that we make a club/group for KOATTA & that they would have something under their names like ATTA has - that's it. I agree that no matter how mature a child is - still doesn't make them an adult .Sorry again, Lalita |

I posted my reply on this thread because it had the right title for the thoughts I was thinking about. A lot of threads have made a lot of us confused and concerned and I posted my reply here as "KOATTA feeling left out" is the topic so many are concerned about. You didn't stir up anything. ![]() |
