ATTA or KOATTA/ATTA discussion

I completely agree with you guys. I want some relief and worry-free time and this group has shown to offfer and provide that. Count me in on A.T.T.A. kid-free side.

I'd just like to chime in here, if you guys don't mind.

I'd rather have the secret forum here for adults only. Seeing how you are all adults, I'd really like to give this forum some leeway. That way you guys can ignore some of our policies on TTC within this forum. You are all adults and know the risks when giving out personal info on the net. We can ignore some PG postings and other stuff that wouldn't fly well on the open forums. I'd still not want to see flaming or trolling here because everyone should be able to get along with each other, but we can ignore lot of the stuff we have set up to protect the kiddies.

I noticed that one non-adult managed to obtain membership and was quickly removed from the forum. Thank you for that.

I agree. This is a great way to keep the kids from getting hurt feelings or confusion about things. I swear the thought of combining groups had come up ages ago and I thought at that point we all agreed not to combine. Im glad Claudia and others has taken the time to find out who is adult and who is not. It does give us an kid free posting which I have never seen, but I love it.

Batleth I just want to say THANK YOU!! I am so happy to have this forum. I'm sure you know as an adult playing TT it gets kind of awkward at times, especially trying to relate to other players on the forums who are much younger.

I am just catching up with everything I missed yesterday due to all the fun and partying last night LOL!!!!! I have to agree, this secret ATTA forum should only be for adults that way we can act like adults and not have to worry about breaking the main TTC rule, keeping innocent (hehe) eyes innocent.

I feel that any new member that does join the ATTA, we as adults need to make sure they are truly an adult before giving them access to this special forum. When adding new members, I think it should be a small discussion before giving them access to this area. In order to help structure this, I will make a new thread titled "Requests for Secret ATTA Forum" so that we as members can discuss members that we think should be added.

This secret forum is a huge advantage for this group, so lets keep this area spam, flaming, trolling free so that we can truly acknowledge what has been given to us.

I do agree also that we should help the kiddos with their group and establish it into a more structured group, but I do think the best option for both is to remain separate. I love the idea of doing boss runs together, but we do need to keep our own identity.

I'll ask this here rather than dirty up the new thread already ...

Should there be a minimum/maximum wait time before a request to join is approved/denied? We don't want requestees to wait too long, but we also want to give current members a chance to contribute to the discussion if warranted.

I think it would be the best thing for us to not talk about the new secret forum with any new member, until we as a group decide to add them. Since they wont know there is a secret forum, they wont ever feel like they are missing out anything.

We as members that have access to the secret forum should be the ones that need to send in the requests to add certain people. Once the group does decide to add them, then Claudia can give them access.

You all have any other suggestions?

I wasn't aware we could invite people to join. As clan leader, can Claudia invite others? I thought a person had to request to join the group, and then we go from there. Sorry for the confusion!

I think not telling people till it is discused is a good idea, except of course for the memebers that already exsist. I didnt know anything about it so I didnt know what I was missing, but once the kiddies starting posting about it I really wanted to see it, the few hours I had to wait felt like ages.

To be granted access to the private sub forum, they do need to do the Group Membership thing, then be approved.

Also, no one but approved "Happy Hour" members and TTC Staff can even see that there is a sub forum there. So, if you want to let a verified adult know about it, you can tell them, perhaps by PM, to apply for the group membership. It would be up to all of you to decide whether anyone can invite someone, or whether you want it to be left to the Clan Leader to do.

Speaking of kiddies, did you guys notice how much dust has been raised about this forum? Kind of funny, it's almost as if they're throwing a tantrum that there is a room they can't go it. I just had to chase my own son away, he was trying to read over my shoulder. It was a standard "stop it or no TT for a week". It worked. For today.
