That must be something new. When my account switched to no more SFS (which they were called at the time), all of them turned into regular friends. They all stayed on the list, but only speedchat worked after that.
If the entire list is gone, TT must have changed something. If it is just a matter of some of them gone, most likely toons deleted your toons from their friends lists. Some people do not like to have any non-TFs on their lists. EDIT: I see now that you are asking to put back some of them. You cannot do that. You can put the feature back on, but they will remain regular non-TF until codes are entered again. If you turn off the TF option again, they will all revert back to regular friends. You cannot keep any TFs if the list is turned off in the parental controls. |

Yes, it is possible that it was supposed to happen like that. I know when you transfer a SF enabled Toon to a non SF disabled account, your Secret Friends get deleted. Try calling Toontown or getting on Live Chat.

Addendum: When my son was upset, he told me that all his friends are gone from the list. When he was mad, he just exaggerated everything. I later found out that his friends are still on the list but was downgraded to regular friends. So, now we have enabled the "required parent password to add SF" option and he is happy now. I"m glad you worked it out.
For my sons I require the parent password. My youngest has two adult SFs who help him through harder tasks and who I trust. He also isn't allowed to play when we're still asleep or not here. That way I can make sure he's not bothering them to pieces. I had to make that a rule when I found out that he'd been logging on in the mornings and trying to convince them to take him into the DA's office. LOL I have told him after he's better able to use his eMail and the internet then he may have 3 SF's his own age. He knows one kids at school who plays and the other two he will probably find here. My older son had the same deal, but his SF's left his list when I waited two months before renewing the account (didn't have the money during the holidays). I have one friend who is going to SF him to help him out, and I told him he's still limited to the 3 SF's until he turns 13 this summer. Then we'll discuss it again. This allows them room to friend clan members and toons to help them (it's useful to be able to explain what they're training and how many cogs they need and all) but at the same time I don't want them to turn the game into a giant chat fest. |

Thanks for sharing. I'm also thinking about setting some rules for my son too. He is not yet 13 (as the min age recommended by TT to have SF).
I'm also considering putting my son's computer on a separate network and use a Cisco router to control his internet access time. It sounds crazy but I'll try setting rules first. I must admit that I am now an A.T.T.A. It started out that I needed to investigate if this online multi-users game is safe for the kids. Then I started to use his account to make a toon to play. Now I have my own account and my toon was moved from his account to my account. I play at least some everyday. ![]() - AC |
