How to splice pokemon guide
Well there are two ways to splice. My way is this:
Splicing Well first of all, open up Microsoft Paint. Then open up your web browser, whatever it is. Go to pokemonelite2000.com/sprites.html (You might want to bookmark this page, lol.) The click on whatever game you want your sprites from. Look around for the ones that you want to splice. Once you find them, right click and copy and paste them into Paint. Put them in the middle, fairly close to each other. Then use the Fill Bucket Tool to white out the black around the pokemon. Zoom in 8x. Now find your sprites, and if you have to, mover them closer to each other so you can see both of them. Then using the star tool, cut a part off of one pokemon. And then paste it into a good spot on the base pokemon. Do the same thing for the other parts; and be creative! Recoloring Now that you have your splice, let's get these colors right. Select the eye-dropper tool. Find the lightest color of the second pokemon and copy the color by clicking it with the eye-dropper tool. Now use the fill tool to replace the lightest shade on the base pokemon. Do this wherever that lightest color appears. Now pick the second lightest color, and do the same thing. Do this for the rest of the colors! Woo! You're done! Now get rid of the second pokemon. Select your finished splice and move him/her to the upper left corner. Then select the edge of the white box and drag it up to the corner, so it's just the sprite. Now save it. And always save it as a .PNG! COMPLETION! W00T! =D And Tobi's way is: OK, let's start off by opening a sprite resource. Don't have one? Try this: http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/dpmfa.html http://www.dragonflycave.com/testing.htm Now how about we splice Diglett and geodude. (Save as on the sprites) Now to splice you need to open up paint and upload one of the previous pokemon. Then use the star tool to cut the image, and then open up another paint and paste. It should look like this: Then By using the rectangular tool and get the peimeter around geodude or the other one you chose at first. You see that on every line and edge there is a circle, all you have to do is hold it (by left clicking) and then drag it to a size that is better.NOTE:Leave room for the other pokemon. Next go to the paint you had cutted from and repeate the process with the other one: ![]() Now zoom into 6x and click on the star tool. Begin carefully cutting along the left arm until it is completely off so you can move it around is you need to you can enlarge, But our main goal is to take the arm and put it on Diglett.: Now do the same with the other:![]() Recolroring Recloring takes a long time to master but i this case it is fairly easy. 1.Make a scale of colors by usin the eyedropper tool (first click on the earser tool then eyedropper) zoom into 8x right click on any color you see then click in any open space then repaeat with different colors.(this proces is used on the geodude's color's) ![]() 2.Replace digglet's face colors with geodude's colors by the tone of the color(using the eyedropper and fill bucket) : ![]() Then erase everything else and move your result to the top left corner. ![]() These tutorials are copyrighted by Rocky and Tobi.
