If you panick because you click PLAY on the website and it takes you to a Create New Account page then relax!

At the bottom of that page is a blue button for Existing Members. Click that.

You will then go thru a few screens to validate your details then re-clicking PLAY will start the usual update process.

So the window mode doesn't work in open either now?

it will run in a window for me, but it has another window that takes up the whole desktop, which kinda defeats the purpose of window mode.

is there any way around this?

That Big Blue "Updating Toontown" screen is supposed to minimize on it's own when the graphics window opens.

If it doesn't do that for you, I just checked- once you have Toontown running, you can bring the Big Blue "Updating Toontown" screen to the top, and to close it. Toontown will stay running.
