Attention TEST Toons!

While this update lacks any visible new features, there are actually many changes beneath the surface which require your dedicated attention. Please play thru all aspects of Toontown and report any issues you encounter via our Report a Problem page! All the residents of Toontown are depending on you! TEST Toons of the World Unite!!

*** KNOWN ISSUES ***

There is currently a bug with swimming, and you will crash out if you try. Please refrain from the deep end of any body of water! This will be fixed upon next release.
A crash occurs when you click on the Move Furniture button in your House. Please refrain from doing so or you will crash out!

I'm really hoping the fix has to do with the memory leak...

Anyone else having problems with the installer hanging? I keep getting a non-responding error.

Never mind, third tries a charm....

After looking at the Panda3D website(3D engine Disney uses for the game), there were some mentionings of model cache fixes(aka fixes for memory leak), but as they are for the prepackaged release of Panda, it's hard to tell what's new with Disney's version(but generally should be the same).

This may sound way way far fetched but when they say "beneath the surface", and then this swimming bug with water...

I wonder if this update adjusted the difficulty of fishing.

Although I don't have a test toon account, I'm pretty sure this has to do with Chip N Dale's PG. They are trying to put it up and asking any Test Toons if bugs have "Mysteriously" leaked out of it.

I bet you are right. My friend put in a "bug" report about how hard it is to catch fish and how little kids could not, would not fish for milleniums etc etc, they assured her that "Maybe it is too hard and we will be looking into this issue soon".

That was a couple weeks ago.

Standard operating procedure when something new is coming to Test (in pretty much this order):

* New testers are welcomed to Test.

* The developers put out an update which basically cleans up and updates the old programs without any new content.

* The clean up update is debugged as needed.

* New content is introduced, either all in one piece or in fragments, depending on level of complexity or other factors. (For instance, Cashbot HQ was introduced in incremental pieces. So was Goofy's Speedway.)

* New content is debugged as needed.

* More new pieces of the new content may be introduced.

* New pieces and old pieces are debugged as needed.

* Difficulty may be adjusted and further debugging and adjusting.

* New content is finally released to Open.

* Open goes wild.

All this takes, weeks, even months, with many false starts and unexpected turns of events along the way.

New testers, take note: They will give you some time to get your toon up to fighting speed for the Bossbot HQ. Take advantage of that and spend all your time on Test building, building, building your gags and laff.

Can you bring a 15-60 laff toon into Bossbot HQ? Probably yes, during the testing phases.

Will your 15-60 toon survive or have any fun testing the Bossbot HQ? Probably NOT---and you will just annoy everyone else in the process.

So build, build, build and train, train, train. You've been given an incredible opportunity to see the new HQ. Make the most of it.

This update fixed the bug that would sometimes cause a district reset when a toon attempted to buy a kart.
