Pet Peeves?

Before I list my pet peeve that Loosy and I have argued about (he thinks I'm being unreasonable...) I am wondering what other folks game pet peeves are.

I have seen a few gripe about "grievers" and folks that blow back lured cogs. What are some others or if you feel the need to rant (in a polite manner of course... keep it G-rated! LOL) you can talk about the noobs (aka "grievers") and "blow hards"

HAR HAR!! I just want to see if there are others that feel the same way I do....Either way, wrong or right I can't help what I feel. It's my only game pet peeve and I've pretty much kept it to myself ... well and to you who has to hear my rants... LOL

Mine???? A maxxed out toon and 3 not so maxxed in a bld. The maxxed out toon (I'm not naming names, you know who you are) continuously using the same gag over and over and not allowing all the others their share of uses. I like to go into a bld with people who aren't afraid to use several different types of gags.

Also, I'd like to point out that I DO still use my throw and squirt often, even though they are maxxed. Sometimes, ya just need to KILL a cog, and a pie does the trick so easily.

The fact that the lure accuracy stays at low through, evn though it obviously has a better accuracy later... This drives me nuts! Also the fact that sound is so hard to level....

I try not to be selfish in a bldg with that sort of thing. My sound and lure is maxxed out, but I usually ask (if I can) what everyone is working on... if it means using lure to help them with trap then I do that.
That's a good pet peeve point I haven't run into it with the folks I play with, but I can see how that can be aggrevating....

Yeah! Those are definite pet peeves! The same goes with drop missing... or worse! S'one luring the cog you're trying to drop on! DOH!!! hate it when that happens!

(1) Asking someone to assist with a building and he comes with 1 or 2 other friends without asking or telling me that he is playing with others and needs more slots.

(2) Toons who see 3 toons around the entrance of a building and just run into the elevator.

(3) Toons who see you are letting them get all of the ice cream cones in tag for the first 30 seconds, then proceed to chase you during your 30 seconds.

(4) Toons who stand right near critical areas with their books open so you can't move them (ie by Gag Sellers, by HQ Officers, by Store Owners).

(5) Toons who just whisper "Teleport to Me" without anything else (what am I, a personal slave?)

(6) Toons who whisper for help immediately after you get on (I'm talking less than 10 seconds). Errrrrmmmm....a Hello would be nice.

What can I say, lots of little things bother me.

hehe i cant list mine without offending people, but i do have a few

Here is one i can list, it bugs me when people join a battle and do nothing, then join in again and do nothing then again and again.

Oh and use me for public transportation, that one gets me but it doesnt bother me as long as they say thanks.

And number 5 from above. I usuly warn the person first if im secrets with them that i dont take commands very well, if they persist i remove them right away.

How about when someone sends you a whisper and doesn't say "How are you doing?" or "What toontask are you working on?" or even "Hi!" to before immediately saying "Teleport to me!"

All of those are legit! I have had the same aggrevations!

The one I have is a MAJOR one for me to the point that I will remove a person from my friends list if I discover it.... It's the only time I'm mean on ToonTown, but to me it's just plain selfish and rude. Loosy has tried to tell me their POV, but well.... fine... just don't expect me to go in a bldg with you...

Alot of noobs do that... stand in battle and don't help. It can get a bit hairy when other cogs decide to join in! ARGH!!

I don't mind if folks decide to use me to get someplace... a thanx is nice, but it really doesn't bug me.... I try to remember to say thanx when I hitch a ride

Yep, #5 annoys me too... usually I will end up ignoring that person and making a mental note of replacing them when I need to make room for a new secret friend.

I've got a piece of paper next to my keyboard to keep track of my offending friends. The ones who repeatedly say TP to me before I'm even in the playground, and when they ask the same thing every few minutes. I don't know when I'll un-friend them, usually if I ignore them because I'm with a group they seem to catch on. Or maybe they think I'm afk.

I guess I have to say that I have many of the same as Whut-cha. (Some I haven't personally encountered but can feel for.)

My addition I guess is when you're helping someone and they tell you that they need x lvl x building. So you find one. They repeat the task, I say yes, they repeat. I wanna be able to scream "Will you look at the building we're standing at?!"

I also want to reassure everyone that if you invite me, you'll get me. Only me - unless we're secret and then I ask. If a toon follows, well...I didn't and won't ask. I assume that you need 1 more Toon. If I arrive and my friend could be useful, I'll check if its OK.

Too often I've told a Toon "I have to go", TP to the invite and see that they're coming to visit me.

oh yes i just remembered another one the burns me.

Someone who doesnt want to help you out, but expects you to help them. We do 2 buildings for them, and ask them to help us do one and we get "this isnt what im looking for"


I always want to reply with "please be my friend" "oops" "sorry" "this isnt what im looking for" "Later" and remove them from my friends list.

Mmmmm... no one seems to have my pet peeve... I gotta say you all are listing some good ones though! Some I hadn't encountered....yet....
