Actually Goose you may have hit on something.

Misses are WAY up in buildings, the same level cogs do much more damage, and the lag spikes are worse.

Hummm........maybe if you go without coffee more often, you could be a Disney imagineer!

Argh, you're making me cough up my faux pas - I spaced it and thought a cog was a different type than that of the building he caused to drop when he took it over...

Yes, Buildings are different from cogs. To tell the difference, check if they have legs.

Legs = Cog
No Legs = Building

In the wild, you can also check color:
Color is an ugly Green, Brown, or Blue = Cog
Color is Grey = Building
Color is bright and cheerful = Toon

Hope this cog/building spotting guide is helpful.

Speaking of which Loosy, there's something that's been bugging me for weeks. I once stood in a street where there were a couple of cog buildings and when I heard the crashing building sound I looked around to see if I saw one coming down. I did, but to this day I'm sure there were no toons in front of it. Well, that is unless I hadn't had enough coffee yet that day or it happened in my dreams (and believe me I have seen many buildings go down in my dreams lately lol).

Has anyone ever seen this ? At the time I took it for being a building regulating thing or so (and shook my head and fetched another cup of coffee).

Maybe it was one of those times where the last toon in the building was *sad* but still active, and got the last shot in. When the last cog died, the building was rescued, but the toon ended up in the playground.

It only happened once to me in a building, where I was sad for more than a 1/2 turn, and someone healed me before I was tossed back to the playground. I can't remember if this was early in the LE, or in Beta 2.

The programming for building cogs is so surprisingly different, when you consider us users are doing pretty much the same thing as we do on the street. They just now fixed the cogsmack illusion.

Sit down, take a cup of coffee and explain this please Loosy. I understand bananas of it but it sounds very interesting

hehe

Ok Gnurk, I've had 48 ounces of coffee now, here goes

I was sad after cogs (in a building) dropped my laff to 0, but I was still there! Someone chose Toon-up on the next round and healed me! I don't know if this can still happen - I've had it happen only once. Anyway, I survived that building

It just happened again tonight. I saved a 0 LP toon in a building by healing him on the next round. It's as though they're less than 1/2 LP, or since normally when you die you're -1, maybe they're at 0. Either way, it's a rare occurrence.

I ran into that about 2 weeks ago - the guy had zero laff and I tooned him up on the next round. We ended up finishing the building together.

Very odd.

Maybe its a wierd programing thing. The program is written so that you only go back to the playground when you are BELOW 0 LP. But you are sad AT 0 LP. That would cause this to happen if the Toon took just enough damage to hit exactly 0 LP.

this actually happened to me tonight, here's what took place

me and miss boo boo purpletoes were both hit with an AoE attack, and she went sad first, and it never got around to sending me to the PG. I remember it hit her for 18 laff, but I think I had less than that left, maybe I did drop below 0 laff...
