Here's 1 tip i just learned in toontown. (even though u might know this)

Always squirt before you use any other gag! Mostly Squirt before you throw! Never fails! It's like a punch in the face! or on the computer lol.

Hmmm, I'm not sure who told you about that tip, but it's my opinion that it's not a very good idea. You will need to deliver a whole cream pie for a task in Minnie's Melodyland and if all you've done is squirt it will take you a while to complete that task. Personally, I just don't like squirt and it's always my last gag to max. But if you like it, that's great, have fun with it!

Lol. I think squirt is a handy gag but Im 100 laff and still haven't maxxed it. O_o. Lol. I like sound the best.

If I remember correctly only trap is 100% accurate...provided lure works . Squirt is great if you or a friend are working drop. But, to each his own .

AnimeMan, that is exactly how I work my new toons. Until I get lure, I keep squirt and throw perfectly even, squirting first then using throw. When you do that, throw rarely misses!

As for needing the cream pie, I don't always have the cream pie as soon as I need it, but when I do get it I don't have weak squirt! If you rush to get the cream pie, then you will have to backtrack to get your other gags stronger. But everyone is different, and whichever way works for you, go for it!

I don't think what you're seeing is related exclusively to squirt. I understand that squirt is more apt to hit, but any stun achieved from it lasts only for that turn. Effectively it's only of any use to Drop.

However, I have noticed over time (and believe me, I register minutia with the best of them ) that a damaged cog is less likely to dodge an attack than a fully-laffed cog; but the damage can have been inflicted by any type of gag.

After reading the posts after mine I realize I misunderstood AnimeMan's post. I was thinking he meant develop his squirt and max it before any other gag, I realize now he meant squirt first then follow with another gag on the same cog, my bad.

Very true, Boo Boo, on the toons that I get sound first rather than toonup, if sound hits it makes the next gag hit slightly better too. But even if I get sound first, all through TTC I still do the squirt first then throw, since those are the only 2 gags I have Besides the fact that damaging the cog first makes throw hit a little more often, another reason I do this is because once you have earned your next throw gag, level 1 throw kills a level 1 cog... so... using level 1 squirt than level 1 throw on a level 1 cog will earn you credit in both gags, whereas using throw first will only earn you credit in throw (and sometimes you will take just as much damage, since throw misses so often when used first!)

But yes, it isn't restricted to JUST squirt and throw, but basically any 2 gags... however, since we all start off with squirt and throw only, it's a great way to work those 2 gags right from the beginning. I had a friend who used to use small sound on cogs when someone was working lure and it was missing... he would say, "here, let me soften them up for ya"... and sure enough, almost exclusively the next lure would hit! Some say coincidence, but when we are talking about a red mag against level 4s and 5s, I dont think so.
