Ways to combat hackers

Things you can do when you interact with a hacker:

• Give out no personal information, doing this will prevent hackers from getting needed information.
• Give out fake information this will mislead the hackers giving you more time.
• Keep them on your friend's list, but ignore them. This will help Disney track them down later.
• Take pictures of them asking questions.

What to do when you've been hacked:

• Obviously, change your password. You can do this on the password change page. This will prevent future hacks.
• If the hacker changed your password first, you can still change your password by contacting Toontown. Use this contact page to tell Toontown. They'll then send your parents a E-mail requesting if you want your password changed.
• Obviously, report the hacker. Keep them on your friend's list and/or include pictures in your report, this'll make it that much easier for Disney to track them down and punish them.

How to gain back what you lost from a hack:

• To recover deleted toons, Use the contact page to request for a toon revival.
• To recover back friends, I'd reccomend coming back on any forum where your friends were and reunite, do this with as many toons as you can, and work from there.
• To recover back jellybeans, either fish or go to a jellybean fest.
• To recover back doodles, I believe you ask Toontown.

P.S. Mods, can you change it so when you see this thread in the playground forum it says "Guide To Hacker Prevention" instead of it's original title "Ways to Combat Hackers"? Thanks!

I'm not sure if you have your jbs or not though. That's all I can think of right now. If you have any questions, please PM me or post here, I'll answer it the best I can

I just have something to add to that; if a hacker does get in you can talk to livechat, since they're really good with those things

Those bad things I mentioned only happen if they delete your toon, and unless they're a truly rude person/jerk. They probably'll just mess around on your toon... and your always able to get those things back. There are jb fests for jbs, TTC to get your sf's, the jbs to buy catalog items, Am I missing anything?

i have 2 very nice sfs Tiger and Dottie Dizzenpop.maxed gags and car.series 6 catlog 4.and u said i cant get those things back.

That's not quite what I meant... I mean when you revive your toon, you won't have them, but if they give you a code, you'll be sf's with them again. If your toon is revived, you'll just have to "start over" on your friends, catalog, house etc. but you have TTC here and that's a great help

I'm guessing you didn't even read my post? My tips are in case you get hacked, and just a little tip to help you prevent getting hacked, and your post has nothing to do with those tips... just clarifying

Well he was talking about hacking and kindding on a way to stop them. Then he said he hopes he doesnt get hacked.
