I have a 96laf maxed gag (no trap) with various other things like 60 of 70 fish 70 gag limit. So I am fairly up there. I would be a bit put off if all these suits did not actually do anything.. Well, this is kind of a difficult question to answer. Technically, you just advance in suit level each time you fight the boss. And with each level you need to get more merits or bucks in order to go again. The reward is great - an SOS card or unite phrase (somewhere on this board is a list of all the possible things to get), and if you get high enough, laff boosts. It is also sort of a bragging right, and "kind of" a way you can tell if someone is experienced - although you never know if the guy in the CC suit has a maxed toon - I took my newest toon for her first CFO last night but as far as the team knew it was truly my first time. On the other hand if you see a Holly you don't know if the owner is letting a friend play for the first time and they won't know what they are doing. So to me it is not THE way to tell if a player is experienced or powerful. Mainly, to me just means they have been on teams that beat the boss more times. The reward is simply the SOS and laff - no further access to other areas (for now, anyway, who knows what the future holds?) The suit itself does nothing. To me the best part about each new suit is, the new cog speak phrases you get to say!!! Oh boy I love Cog Speak
It is interesting that you ask this question right now because my husband did his very first CFO last night. He enjoyed it, but said it was a bit of a letdown to be done with most of his tasks, and asked what the point is. That is hard to answer because the point is different for each player. He enjoyed building a toon, and so far does not enjoy the boss fights that much. I really love the boss fights. I would do only that if I could! I do NOT like getting ready for the next one - so I have decided to concentrate on maxing my big toon so I can go whenever I want! So for me that is the point. It is also nice to have those SOS's to use for yourself or to help others.
This was probably WAY more than what you were asking, sorry! I was just rambling because I had just been talking to my hubby about it!
