Don't ask.
Help out.
Wait for a mod to ask you.
Be nice.
It helps if you have good spelling/grammar.

I don't hate the mods...
well,
except Battleth.
Jk!

Anyways,
back on topic:
If you want to be a mod,
1. Never ever ask to be one; they'll ask you.
2. Be nice!; Don't flame too much.
(Even if they are being idiots )
3. Don't break the rules.
4. Don't act like a mod or admin.
5. Help people.
6. No spamming.

You don't have to have good grammer, but it'll probably help your chances.

And that's about it... I guess...

The whole "Good grammar" thing is necessary. Obviously they do not want someone who types like some of these users do on here... One reason is, their goal is to help people, and keep the site safe. By helping, it means you must be able to actually type what you're saying, and it must be able to be understood.

As far as becoming a mod, that is not an easy thing to do. I agree with most everything everyone is saying about how to even qualify, but you can do this for years and still never be asked to become a moderator. To me, this is the best Toontown fan site, picking mods is something done VERY carefully.

My Mood:
Wow, lots of these "How do I become a Mod?" have been appearing.
Anyway, being a Mod/Admin is hard. I am not a Mod or Admin here, but I am on another Message Board that only has 16 members, so I can't imagine how hard it would be here...
When I first joined, I wanted to be a Mod too, but now I know that it's hopeless. TTC has enough Mods and Admins anyway, and I recently got a post deleted... And to be a Mod, you have to have gewd grommir (Bad example,) be helpful, and you have to LITERALLY NEVER have a Topic or post deleted.
Anyway, you don't want to be a Mod. Trust me. And like Hurdler said, most Mods have big hate crowds. Except for Bunny Summers!

They only reason why Mods probably have big hate crowds is because there doing there job,I like all the mods. There all really kewl XD.Anyways being a mod might seem cool but,I don't think it's all that great.I would probably rather be a member then a mod.Oh well.Thats my opinon though.

I'm not interested of becoming a MOD.

Anyways, I stink at grammar.

You're right! I did say that. Grammar isn't so important. We want you to be able to communicate with members, that's for sure. We don't want you talking in leet sp3/\< or whatever (I know that's not exactly correct) or talking in one, long, continuous run-on sentence that nobody can understand. You have to be able to communicate, but that doesn't mean your grammar and spelling has to be perfect.

For example, if a user is spamming, we don't want you to type them a pm saying

dude u cnt spam on thi msg borde cuz its gaist the rule and if u keep doig it ur account will b band u dont what that 2 happn sereusly stop doing it k?

And something else that someone said about not asking. It never hurts to "ask", but "begging" after we've said no will make you a likely candidate NOT to be a moderator. We don't mind someone asking if they can be a moderator or how to become a moderator. The answer will likely be no, especially if people on this message board don't know you very well or you're new to the boards. We just don't give moderator jobs away to anyone.
