I have noticed that also. I dont know why they do that. Must be the cog radar thing, or they just don't know to ride the trolley again. I started a couple new toons, and it is like a madhouse in ttc. LOL

Its really no different from what we all do......just on a different level......... How many times have you waited in front of a certain cog building, that you or a friend of yours needed, without regagging? And when he/she showes up, you TP to the playgroung, to get more gags. In this case the noobs with the superb speedchat probally needed that specific cog for his task, and knew that you, being a BIGGER TOON, could handle it. That the beauty of this game! TEAMWORK, with friends or strangers, its still TEAMWORK.

Man, oh man... This has happened to me soooooo many times. I understand what silly max is saying, but it still bothers me when it happens. I've left buildings after completing a floor because of this.
I've made it a habit now to click on each toon (to see their LP) then clicking the blue triangle to see if they have *some* gags to do the building/cogs/whatever. If they don't try to fight on a floor (or in a street battle), as soon as it is over I leave.

I have three eight-year old girls and occasionally they like to go out in the streets without gags, with the explicit intention of "getting sad". They go into battle alone to do this and it frustrates them when a toon rushes in to help.
They think its funny. Slippy |

Don't get me wrong......I didn't say go gagless in a building.....I was just trying to say that the Toontown tasks target specific cog types, and if you happen to be in Toontown using your newly acquired gag on a cog, then you have a good possibility of a noob needing that type of cog too.

My personal theory is that they're under the impression that they'll gain experience even without fighting. Of course, it could be the cog radar thing also.

Boobtoons without Gags
I recently had the experience to answer a call for help from a 15 LP toon that was in a streetfight without gags. It was in TTC so the COG was no more than a level 3 (no big deal), but then the toon had the audacity to ask me to be their friend!?
All I could say was 'NO!!!" to express my displeasure at their apparent intent to complete toontasks without gags. When asked for help with a street battle, I usually reply 'RUN' (Advise is a form of help ).Limited by speedchat, what would be the best approach to communicate this 'breach of etiquette'? On Test, we can buy the phrase 'Got GAGS?', and this would be very appropriate for this (and possibly other) circumstances. Keep Smiling, ...Bear

When this happens to me, I won't pick until they do. I can take alot more hits then them. This might seem mean, and I'm probably wrong for doing it. I'll tell them to run if they say they need more gags. It only takes one or two rounds of me not doing anything either to get them to pick a gag. If they still don't do anything I'll run and leave them by there selves. What actually bugs me more than them not picking anything, is that they don't pass. They just let the timer run out.
I feel differantly if I see them on the street going sad. I'll interject myself into the battle thinking they could have gotten pushed into the streets. I'll save them and push them onto the sidewalk. Keep in mind that there are a ton of noobs around right now. I've been trying to stay out of the busy districts. The Twiddlesnout Family |
